on July 5th 2022, I was charged $705 for a home visit to assist me with acquiring an international pet health certificate for my dog to travel with me to ***************. I am travelling there due to the death of my father and I plan to stay there for about a year or maybe longer. With such a long stay I decided I would take my pet with me. After doing some research on the internet I came upon BetterVet and scheduled an appointment for the earliest time available on 7/5. upon making the appointment I was asked for my pet medical records and information on the pet and the travel time and destination. After providing the information I was told an exam was needed as well as a microchip and deworming and everything else seemed in order. After the exam, deworming and microchip was completed, the application for travel was sent to the *** and I also applied for entry into *************** but was later told my pet was missing some vaccines that should have been identified and communicated to me in order to get the required vaccines. Due to this lapse, I must now wait 14 days after the vaccine was given in order for my pet to travel to ***************. I've had to rebook my flight to a later date and pay the difference in fare as well as make living arrangements for the next 2 weeks. this lapse has caused me additional money spent unnecessarily and missed family events related to the recent loss of family member. I am no longer working with this company and have a different veterinarian assist me with acquiring the international pet health certificate to travel. I would like to get a refund of the health certificate fee of $490 due to their negligence to properly examine my pet's overall history as they promised they would. If I have been informed my pet was missing the vaccines at the time of making the appointment, I would not have had to rebook to such a later date and miss family events and spend money unnecessarilyCustomer response
