I purchased the Serotonin pills about 2 weeks ago. Itll be 2 weeks on Sunday. I suffer with an anxiety disorder and ptsd and mild ocd. I have been looking for a natural way to help me mentally. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE EFFECTS OF IT! I could tell the difference immediately in my mind and so could my husband and my family. So naturally my family was wanting to try. By day 3 or 4 of taking them I noticed I was having extreme anxiety attacks at night and my heart felt weird. So I researched the ingredients and discovered L-tryptophan the main ingredient among some others in there GREATLY INCREASE your serotonin levels and I later started to read how it can cause a VERY SERIOUS & POTENTIALLY FATAL REACTION CALLED SEROTONIN SYNDROME! So I reduced my dosage from what they recommended on the bottle from 3 to 1 instead. I do not TAKE ANYTHING ELSE NO MEDICATION AT ALL. I decided to take a break for a few couple days. My sister came over and decided to try it and I told her only take 1 or 2. Not the amount they say. She took 2 1 & half days later she took an allergy medicine that you can get at the store, her vitamins as well these she always takes with no issues. Within an hour her heart rate went up to 125, her hands her seizing and twitching and she, diarrhea, could barely walk had to be wheelchaired, chest pain and back pain and burning and a fever. She was diagnosed with SEROTONIN SYNDROME YESTERDAY & is now on beta blockers for her heart because it wont stabilize & she is back on her way to hospital to get more IV FLUIDS to flush her system! AT FIRST THE HOSPITAL didnt understand what was going on and almost gave her something that could have caused even more severe serotonin syndrome thankfully I had done research and she declined it because I suspected that is what she had! THERE NEEDS TO BE A HUGE RED WARNING ?? SIGN EXPLAINING THE DANGERS OF YOUR SUPPLEMENT & with what medication or supplements increasing serotonin and that it can EVEN BE FATAL! PLEASE
