Water Damage Restoration Service LLC was paid $5000 for water mitigation work by ****************** on/before July 28, which should have immediately triggered a full refund of our $4685.63 down payment. WDRS has been mostly non-responsive in returning our money, including giving us an invalid check in the amount of $2185.63. To date, they have returned $2500 and still owe us $2185.63, but as of this morning are claiming they will keep an unspecified amount (as a 15% adjustors fee, as listed in the Authorization form) if we dont use them for repairs. We are not using them for repairs because they were mostly unresponsive to our insurance company and were unwilling to negotiate on a reasonable timeframe, so our insurance gave up on them and paid us out directly. Additionally, we never received a repair estimate from them, and theyve ghosted us on many appointments and generally been unresponsive to us as well.Please find attached a detailed log of communications with this business. We have not heard back from them in 43 days as of today, Sep 29, nor have we received a quote for the work they claim to want to perform. Appropriate resolution at this point would be the immediate return of our remaining $2185.63.The business also claims on their homepage to be an "A+ BBB Accredited Business", however I was unable to find them in your system.Customer response

Hello! Thanks to your outreach, we were able to reach resolution with the company. They have returned the remainder of our down payment. This complaint can be closed / removed. We appreciate your help here!
