I stayed at this hotel back in December. It was for a Christmas vacation with my family. We chose this hotel because it had many accommodations to enjoy as a family such as fridge, microwave, hot tub sauna and om site restaurant, etc. During our stay, the power went out first thing in the morning (around 9am maybe earlier). The hotel did not have a working generator. We didn't get power back until close to 10 pm. Our room was cold We spent most of the day in our car to keep warm. They kept telling us they were working it in. Luckily we had granola bars and our own water because that's what we were able to eat. I asked the hotel staff about comping us a room for a different time because services paid for were not rendered. The hotel staff was extremely rude telling me it isn't their fault and they would not be issuing refunds. I have been emailing and calling for two months now trying to speal to a manager/owner. They keep telling me they will look into it and never respond. I called again today and the lady that said she is the manager up front said they were not refunding because we could have left. And she hung up on me. I shouldn't have to pay for a room that was not usable. At the end if the day I had a bed to sleep on at 10pm otherwise the room was useless and they are not trying to even assist with the matter. This is fraud as far as im concerned. They should have been required at a minimum to have heat and lights for the guests considering this is a mountain pass and Temps were below freezing!
