I purchased a subscription to Gemiini Systems' app on July 10, 2023, for educational support for my son. The app's subtitle functionality was non-functional, rendering it unusable for my deaf family. I attempted to contact Gemiini Systems multiple times via email, their online contact form, and chat feature, starting from July 17, 2023, requesting assistance and then cancellation due to these accessibility issues. My attempts included emails on July 22 and July 28, 2023, and several unresponded chats initiated on August 29, 2023. My efforts to cancel via phone were further complicated by their refusal to accept relay calls, which is crucial for someone with my disability.Despite these challenges, Gemiini Systems automatically renewed my subscription on July 6, 2024, and charged $588. I have since reached out repeatedly, including follow-up emails on September 4 and 5, 2024, and calls on September 11, 2024, to numbers provided by their service team, which went unanswered. The lack of response and refusal to process a refund for an unused service that violates the *** by not being accessible has compelled me to seek further action.This situation reflects poorly on Gemiini Systems commitment to customer service and accessibility compliance. I am requesting BBBs assistance in resolving this matter by facilitating a dialogue to ensure the cancellation of my subscription and a full refund of the charges for the initial and renewed subscriptions, totaling $1,176.Business response

Ive been trying to cancel my subscription for over two weeks now. They put me on hold, only send automated messages that they will return my phone calls or emails but never do. *** waited on the phone for 45 plus minutes just to be sent to voicemail. They are charging my bank 98$ a month and its after a free trial. I do not want to continue service and cant afford that price and they wont let me cancel.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Although the date they state the subscription was cancelled is incorrectly reported on their response -as they just cancelled it a few days ago, it being cancelled is satisfactory none the less. Dishonesty and shady practices should be called out for what they are as this is no way to conduct business in which a consumer is trusting a professional entity to uphold ethical practices.

This company has terrible business practices, and Im thinking a class action law suit should happen. They make it VERY difficult to cancel! You call no one answers and you are forced to leave a message! Cancel my service! I dont want to be charged! Its a 7 day trial, but you have not allowed an easy way to cancel! You need an online option! Gotta move my money around cause you dont have a viable option to cancel!Business response

The subscriber signed up for a 7-day trial and received confirmation of the cancellation prior to any funds being debited.
