I went online to find a tax preparer. I looked at Jackson Hewitt Tax Services. They advertised Pay no more than $179 so I made an appointment with *********************** at their kiosk at ******* (*******************). My $179 maximum charge Code number was ***** with confirmation code number ********************* my meeting with ****** on 3-22-22, she confirmed my $179 maximum code. After looking at my tax documents she said she wasnt sure how to handle a portion of my tax documents so she would give them to her boss (***************************). After about a week, I went back up to the ******* to finalize my tax return. ****** and I went over my return and after we contacted ******* for a deduction that she missed I okayed the return. They then told me that their charges to me were $367. I told them that I should only be charged $179 per their advertisement. They said that their managers werent accepting that offer. After questioning how they are able to do that, I ended up paying the $367 to get my return done.I later sent Jackson Hewitt an email on 4-5-22 asking for the $188 over charge back. I havent received a response as of today (4-15-22).I would like to get the over charge back and report them for misleading advertising. Is there a government agency that handles this type of complaint?Thank you for your time.*****************************
