I am filing a complaint against NAO Auto Transport for the reason of vehicle damage during transportation. I am an active duty soldier stationed at ******************************************, **********. I recently bought a brand new 2023 ***** Accord Sport Hybrid and ordered it to be shipped from my home state of ******** over to my duty station in Washington with NAO Auto Transport. I want to emphasize that this vehicle is a brand new purchase for me and had no prior damage. The vehicle was picked up by NAO Auto Transport on January 13th, 2024 and was dropped off on January 22nd, 2024. Upon drop off and inspection, the vehicle has significant scratches to the paint, visible boot marks on the hood of the car, gas cap that was left open and exposed to the elements during transport, and a dent on the edge of the hood near the boot marks. I reached out to the driver, the carrier, and their insurance to find a resolution the the damages that they created. I was assured that my vehicle would be in good hands and that if anything were to go wrong. Insurance would cover damages that were created. I have kept in contact with the insurance agent and he is telling me that the carrier is disputing the claim and is taking no responsibility to the damages that they have created. I have clear video evidence of how the vehicle looked like when I bought it, how it looked like before it was picked up, and how it looked like when it came to me in Washington. I can provide those to you at any time. I have also provided that video footage to both the carrier and insurance agent. As a service member, I agreed to use this carrier based on their high rating and history of being military friendly. I seek to repair my car and for NAO Auto to pay for the damages and for me to be fully reimbursed for the services that I paid for. Ultimately, this incident has been very unprofessional and bad for business. They have not fulfilled their promise on handling my vehicle with care and to find a resolution to this.
