After my first physical with them in 2019, which should have been fee of a co-pay, I was billed for an office Visit and a copay of $20. I called and questioned it and I was told that "I must have brought up a medical issue" that would have warranted the copay. I reluctantly paid it, although I know how things work and I am very confident I never brought up anything to warrant that label of an office visit. The following spring, I had to go in for what they call a medicine check. I was told there was no copay for this. All the doc does is ask yes/no questions of which meds I take/ need. Sure enough, I was charged an office visit and a copay with no explanation as to why I was being charged this.In Fall of 2020, my copay had doubled to $40 with my insurance company. After my 2020 physical, which I made a point to conscientiously not bring up anything medical that would kick in the copay. Much to my chagrin, they AGAIN charged me for a $40 Copay/ Office Visit when my physical should not have had one. And AGAIN, they couldn't explain what conversation was had to justify this copay. My wife saw how upset I was getting over this and paid the copay just to get the subject dropped. In spring of 2021, again, I was requested to come in for a med check. Again, I was informed there 'shouldn't be a copay but sure enough, I was billed for an office visit, I had only answered questions the doc asked. I never approached any subject that would justify the copay. And finally, I had my Physical in October 2021. I stressed my concern over this incorrect billing to the gal checking me in and she said she'd put a note in my file that this should not be charged a copay.I decided I would only answer questions posed by the doc and assistant. I wouldn't open my mouth for anything else. I was still billed for the $40 copay. Rockwood's billing for Office Visits is unjustified. Ideally, Id like a refund for all wrongful charges, but , but a waiver of this fee would be appreciated.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is moderately satisfactory to me. The solution was deemed by Rockwood as a one time courtesy vs. righting a wrong. Unless the doctor is educated on his error or shakiness, I'm afraid this will happen again to others. Thanks BBB and thanks to the 2 ladies with Rockwood that assisted me.

      Sincerely,
