    In 2019 we hired Sturm to install a new central heat system. They installed the unit and all duct work. The installation failed inspection. We called Sturm and told them about the failure. It took over a year, but someone finally came out and said that the installation had been done incorrectly. He said they would have someone come out to make the changes. A while later a technician came out, took measurements and said they would return. The changes have never been made, several of the flexible lengths of duct work have been choked off by the straps, the other parts are still coming under our main support beam, and none of the flexible ducts have been replaced with rigid ducts as per code. We were told that there needed to be drywall installed above the ducts. But Sturm has not given us a straight answer as to if we need to have it done before they do their work, or after. One person told us after, another said before.

    I do not have the expertise to evaluate their work. I DO have concerns due to the unprofessional way the job was conducted. If what I know is a problem, it casts doubt about what I don't know and have to trust. A potentially half-day job turned into a 3-day job. In the 3-days, I spent **** hours just waiting unnecessarily for workers to arrive or for information that workers were NOT arriving. There were 5 start times agreed on, none were kept. I do not allow any contractors on my property unless I am physically present. Twice workers came on property & started work without permission contrary to agreement. An onsite renter requires a 2-day notice for non-emergency access to residence. This legal requirement was disregarded when workers set their own work schedule. I was sent an invoice that had a fake signature perporting to be mine that states i agree the work was done satisfactorily and in a workmanlike manner, and that my concerns had been addressed. None of that was true & I did not sign. Concerns were sent to office by certified mail. General manager refused to discuss concerns. GM offered 10% discount or legal action to settle. I accepted 10% discount & wanted an invoice without fake signature. GM agreed. I would hesitate to use Sturm again.
