They didn't take everything they were supposed to and broke my sump pump line while they were banging around our back. It will cost me more to fix it than I paid them.

Junk-N-Dump: Trash Hauling & Junk Removal Response

I'm Sorry you were unhappy with the service. We have hundreds of reviews online with a 5-star rating for over 17 years of business. We pride ourselves on customer service and our reputation. As a local small business nothing is more important. We try and resolve any issues that *** arise under rare circumstances as we did in this situation. It just seems it was very difficult to please this customer in particular. We are still willing, to this day, to make things right if the customer decides to reach out to us.

However, I will go into detail regarding this situation. We made it very clear with the customer over the phone that we charge by volume (the amount of space the junk takes up in our dump truck). We told her how we charge, and she said she didn't want to pay more than $250, which is what we charge for a half load. I made it very clear to her; we could not take more than a half load for $250. We told her we have no idea how much she has, but we'd be more than happy to get a half load and stop at that point if it does not all fit. She agreed that would be fine and scheduled us in.... Our crew showed up and spoke with a male customer (who we never spoke to over the phone), and he pointed out the junk that was in the back of a dump truck... Our crew loaded up a half load and stopped loading at that point.... I called the customer for payment and he was very angry from the get-go, and told me that, "the guys didn't get everything". I told him we were told over the phone not to do more than a half load... He said, "there is no way they got a half load", to which I replied did you say something to the crew about that, and he said, "I was too busy doing other stuff".... So, I said, then how can you know they didn't get a half load? He did not respond to that.... I said I am sorry for the confusion on our pricing, and I'll take 15% off the price no questions asked right now, and he said fine, and paid the bill of $215 instead of $250... I looked into the dump receipt and the weight was 980lbs. which is exactly average weight for a half load. A full load averages 1 ton (2,000lbs.).....

That preceded his phone call about the sump pump line. He called 2 hours later very angry about his sump pump line (pvc pipe coming out of his house) being cracked. It was difficult to speak with him regarding the issue because he was so angry. I asked him if the pipe was in the pile of garbage and he said no. I said ok, if it wasn't near the pile, how do you know my guys did it? He said, what do you think I broke it on my own"?.... I said of course not, can you send me a picture of the pipe and I'll talk to my guys. He was immediately offended by me asking for the picture, but then said "fine" and hung up on me.... But he never sent the picture, instead he sent me a text saying he was going to take me to small claims court. I text back that my guys adamantly deny ever touching the pipe, but I'd still be willing to take care of it and make things right (I would call a licensed and insured plumber). He completely ignored that text and never responded back. He also ignored 2 more phone calls. He just wrote this review.... All I wanted was a picture of the damaged pipe and then I would take care of it, even though our employees said they were never near the pipe. I believe that is reasonable.

I believe this customer over-all was disgruntled about our price even though he was not the customer who we originally spoke with when we were hired.
