On the night of Friday 3/3, I took my cat to this emergency clinic due to excessive vomiting and diarrhea. I waited over 4 hours to be seen and my cat was never given antibiotics as a precautionary for the symptoms she was experiencing. ******************** made me feel as if I was overreacting regarding my cats condition. For example, appearing annoyed when I requested the front desk to ask for the doctor to speak to me about the **ray images as she did not explain the results over the phone to me at the time of my cats discharge. ******************** ****** the **ray shows concerning images of her pancreas but the doctor ****** she feels comfortable discharging my cat without any further examination of the pancreas. After the weekend I took my cat to her primary vet for worsening symptoms of a GI tract infection. My primary vet received the referral from this emergency pet clinic and reviewed the **ray images and ****** that the image that the emergency doctor was looking at was not the pancreas and was actually the colon. The image the emergency doctor was looking at was reportedly the wrong side of the body from where the pancreas is located. My cat was discharged around **** am on 3/4 after allegedly receiving blood work, 2 **rays, and an Iv. When I asked the front desk for a copy of her medical records, they refused stating the request will have to be approved. Therefore I never received the official charted results. In total I spent $1155.81. Overall this cost is outrageous for the lack of medical attention my cat needed leading to her worsening over the weekend and needing extensive follow up care. She became so sick the symptoms were life threatening and she potentially needs a feeding tube. This could have been avoided if the emergency clinic would have given her an adequate examination and medical care. This is complete negligence and malpractice.
