Check in time: October 22,2023 07:59pm Check out time: October 23,2023 Confirmation number: ***** Room #*** Two guests ************************* and ******************************* . We payed in cash our room fee as well as a $100.00 deposit on the room for damage, etc. the next morning when we were loading our car, I went back to the desk to give them our key and collect my security deposit. The concierge had me sign a form before she was to give me my security deposit back. I sign the form and then she has a maid who was checking the room (without us present!), come in and say that we had been smoking in the room and that we had shoved toilet paper into there smoke alarm detector, and because of that she was going to keep our deposit. When I told my wife this she insisted we go back in and talk to them and explain that they must be confused with which room we were in, because we didnt do that to there room. we did go back in and explain and that was for nothing, they refused and said they had there hands tied. Only later when I was explaining what happened to my wife while she had been loading the car, did she say that they ripped us off. She said that is why they had me sign the paper and that I shouldnt have until I received the money they owed us. The fact that it was cash made this scam possible. This place should be checked into I believe they are using the business to rules to commit ***** thefts, depending on whether or not we are the only ones this happened to it could be felony theft.
