This store has been a scam ever since we started using it for our family's eyeglasses, which has been years. We have ************** through my husband's work. America's Best has repeatedly misled us on what our insurance covered and have not provided clear accurate billing to us or our insurance company. I had purchased eyeglasses in December 2022 with transition bifocals, which is more expensive than the standard lined bifocals. ********* said that I could return them for standard lined bifocals if they didn't work out after trying them for two weeks. They didn't work out so I had to return the whole glasses and use my old prescription. Since the original transition bifocals cost more, they said it was a pain to redo the billing and would take months to fix. They offered upgraded coating with the updated lined bifocals. When the updated bifocals came, they were wrong again. The bifocal took up more than half of my vision, making it too hard to drive with and adjust my vision when walking around. I had to return them for another fix and wait again, using my old prescription. I received multiple bills even though they said that I didn't owe anything else, which is true since my insurance covers $250-350 annually. I called and went by the office many times. I finally got the main billing office and explained they didn't rebill for the new glasses because the ****** office said it was a pain to do. They finally dropped the charge but only after I complained about incorrect billing. Yesterday, I took my son in for fixing his frame after our attempt to fix it. The metal frame was separating causing his lenses and vision to become skewed. They said the warranty was already used and wasn't valid. That's real hard to believe that you can only use a warranty once for a pair of glasses. We can't get the two pair of glasses for a flat rate either. Apparently, that is for people without insurance. I'm so frustrated with this company. Wondering how many other issues they have.

On May 11th, at 10:20am, patient ***************************** attended the ********* Americas Best for a routine eye exam, eye glass prescription and fitted for contact lenses as well. She paid via her insurance and as well with out of pocket expenses. The exam included a routine eye exam, picking out prescription lenses and then another 30 minutes getting fitted for contacts. In the contact fitting, they gave a closeup and far away contact lens. ***************************** was told to wear these for a week and then call the office to get the prescription emailed to me or I could come by and pick it up. ***************************** wore the disposable contact lenses for one week and then returned in person on May 19th at 10am to get the prescription. The lady at the front said she could not give it to me until I had a contact fitting. I explained I already had that and paid for it and was just to confirm it works and they would give me the prescription. She said she would take to the attending doc and get back to me. They never did. In fact, they never gave me the eye glass or contact lens prescription. ***************************** called several times and send several emails and even filed a formal complaint with Americas Best HQ and no response. Below are the days of contact with no response. This is against the law. They are willingly withholding my prescription that I paid for. I did everything they said. I will get an attorney in the next 3 weeks if this is not resolved. I know my rights and I know that law was violated. May 11th, 2022, routine eye exam and contact fitting. May 19th 2022, stopped by in person to pick up prescription and stated contacts are awesome and its a perfect prescription. Manager or doc never called me back after I left the office.
