I purchased a membership from ilovekickboxing ******* for $800 that included classes that would never expire. I was only able to use 3 before having an injury that prevented me from returning. The injury healed during Covid and the place said it was temporarily closed. I’ve been waiting to see if they will reopen as it still says temporarily closed on their instagram but still haven’t heard anything so I contacted headquarters who said they have officially closed, but I didn’t receive any notice from them saying this. Headquarters said the business might have a bond with the state to repay people, but they have no forwarding contact information for the franchised location.Initial Complaint

I signed up for the gym in 2022 accepting the six week challenge i was then told i need to purchase a membership. fast forwarding I loss my stepson October of 2023 I explained to Stephanie at Whitehall location what my situation was and i wanted to end my membership they explained i had two options to put my membership on hold or end it with 160 they then proceeded to charge my card multiple times in November and December i'm disputing November charge. They then kept a card i have took off y file to charge multiple times without authorization over 400 dollars I have not been in contact with any one and i'm moving forward with filing a law suit against them.Customer response

I requested to terminate my membership. I paid the termination fee and was told that it would done. I have been charged for the last 2 months. I have called, emailed, texted, and sent an Instagram message. I had 1 reply from a coach telling me that he cant help me I have to talk to the owners. The owners do not reply. This company offered a free 6-week challenge with a seemingly attainable goal. Upon consultation, a 599$ deposit with a possible refund was mandatory if you hit their seemingly achievable goal. Upon paying and attending the nutrition consultation, it was found that their meal plan included harmful fat burners, and the meal plan was tailored around these supplements. This now made a seemingly attainable goal very unattainable. They attempted to say that these were optional after my complaint and reservation that I would be able to receive a refund because, without stimulants, I would not hit the already aggressive target. When I decided I was not comfortable with taking supplements, and wanted a refund, and did not want to attend the challenge they said because they provided a non-tailored meal plan and access to a facebook group I was ineligible to receive a refund. I had been an ILKB Chelsea member since before 2019. During the pandemic, the gym shut down, and it hasn't reopened since. I still had dozens of classes on my account, and have been trying to get in touch about my refund options ever since. No numbers are in service, and the only email address for corporate that I have found gives a canned response: "Each ILOVEKICKBOXING location is individually owned and operated. ILOVEKICKBOXING Headquarters does not have access to or handle memberships or billing for any studio." Looks like they are intending to just keep my money!Initial Complaint

I’m looking to cancel my membership, I signed my contract on November 14th 2022 , almost 2 weeks ago they told me I have to reneg my contract , then told me in order to cancel I have pay 169$ to cancel… I have not once used the gym.
