Bought a low mileage vehicle in August of 2023 that they had advertised as ************* with no mechanical issues and was told verbally it had no problems. The transmission went out before I even got the title from the sale and they essentially told me it wasn't their problem because all sales are as-is. The cost to fix it is thousands more than I paid for the car.

On December 10th 2022 we purchased a vehicle from Tacoma Auto Mart, a vehicle listed with no mechanical issues. After test driving it around the surrounding neighborhood we decided to purchase it for $2500. When we got onto main streets going higher than 35 mph, we realized there was a severe shake to it. They replaced a tire after we came back and said it should be fine, it wasnt. They offered to repair it instead of a refund. After we got it back, the issues were still present and we requested a refund. They denied us a refund and told us we could "go to court" over it. Additionally, it seems they were trying to charge us for 2 registrations (an $800 registration fee?). One for the car to be put into their businesses' name, then for it to be put into my name I assume. When I expressed at the time of purchase that I couldn't pay that, they gave me an envelope with paperwork and told me to go to the **** When I went to the *** I was informed the paperwork was not valid for registration. It was only a signed title from the previous owner, with no date or amount sold info. When we confronted them, asking for a proper bill of sale we were rejected. I have also texted their number asking for one, which have gone ignored. I was also informed that they legally had to register it for us there, so they should have turned us away when we couldn't afford it. So they gave us a lemon of a car, said they "fixed it" and when they didn't won't refund us for it, and on top of it we can't even register it to sell it to someone who can afford to cover repairs. Really, all I'd like is to get a refund and return the car to them. I have included text interactions and posts as proof that this vehicle was purchased from them. I have no other proof as they didn't give a receipt of any kind for the transaction.

The car was sold as is; it  was a $2500 car that was test driven and checked out by the customer prior to purchasing it. The customer complained after purchasing  the car that it  had a shake in the front; we took the car Leshwab for inspection and the only thing they said was changing the front tires. We fixed the issue for the customer by replacing the recommended tires. The customer came and picked it up and did not have any complaints after. This is the first time we hear about this issue.

I am rejecting this response because: They replaced one tire. They provided a receipt for $0 from *******************, because they only rebalanced the tires. We complained immediately after picking it back up. They recommended to us replacing the rest of the tires and when that didn't resolve the issue we once again contacted them. Their response was "if you are going to keep arguing, then take it to court". They also refused and then ignored any requests for a proper bill of sale. Legally they were supposed to register it there, they didn't. They also only provided a title that was signed by previous owner. There was no date on it or the amount that it was sold to Tacoma Auto Mart. Once again, included in the documents is a text message I sent to them asking for proper paperwork which they still ignored.

      Sincerely,

      *******************************

I purchased a 2012 VW GTI on July 22, 2022 for $8,000 from this dealership financing the car thru my bank, Navy ********************* They sold this car to me without sharing previous problems with the car. I had the car for 11 days now and already had multiple near collisions due to the mechanical problems with the vehicle and the vehicle is currentlyin the shop with a $4,100 bill for repairs. On the 23rd of July and everyday since then, I've been trying to communicate with the salesman that sold me the car about all the immediate issues I'm having. He immediately insisted that he'll send me $500 and call it "even" or "good". Although I was waiting for the final bill from ***** Imports in Tacoma, WA, I asked him to go half with me on the repairs and he even refused that. I communicated all faults and flaws the car was having with him and tried to ask for assistance and he refused to talk about it, reply back to texts to communicate about the matter or anything. I went to the shop in-person today, 3rd of August, and attempted to speak to him in person but the "manager" told me he was in "**********". The "manager" also told me that the car wS on consignment and the salesman didn't say that during the sale. They have lied to me, became unprofessional, and cheated me out of my time, effort and money and I request that they fix my vehicle in full or take the car back and refund me my money to include the interest accured up to the point of return. They should not be selling vehicles in this condition to people especially taking advantage of ******************* Members like myself. According to the "manager" the car wasn't the dealerships, it was the salesmans car, ********************************* and it was on consignment. Although the pre-approval check was signed to the dealership, the "manager" said he can not help me because it "wasn't his car, it was the salesman car that sold it to you. You have to speak with him in Monday, August 8th when he comes back.
