My vehicle towed from me . I was living in the vehicle when acts of violence occured at the apartment in my ex husband name that I was residing in when acts of violence weren't occuring. They asked me to pay $500 before they left with my vehicle. I expressed that my personal possession were are in the vehicle because I had been living in the car I had clothes- dog food - work stuff- etc etc almost everything I possessed physically on me personally. Also I told the Lucky's transport employee I am a DV victim & if they took my home to be safe from attacked i could be hurt seriously, he was very mean and said he didn't care. I called everyday and was told that they were charging me $100 a day in addition to the initial $500 and that I couldn't get my personal possession from the vehicle. He said it didn't matter what I say or do he wasn't going to let me file for a hearing in the matter and that he's selling my vehicle before there is a hearing on the matter as an abandoned vehicle. He also said that if I don't give them $3000 almost I was going to loose the vehicle and everything I owned in the vehicle

********************** was notified at the time of impound she had to right and opportunity to pay the drop fee of $260 to get her vehicle released back into her possession , she did not have the funds and kept the drivers waiting at the scene , at that time she was also advised the charges would continue increasing the longer the drivers were there. ********************** was also offered the opportunity to get her personal belongings out of the vehicle in which she refused. Every phone call we recieved from ********************** she was informed of the current charges and procedures of redeeming the vehicle. lucky transport and its employees have followed every rule and law in this situation. Per the states requirements we have issued an auction date to sell the vehicle at our public auction , and have followed the guild lines in which to do so.

The response from Lucky's transport was less than forthcoming and honest. At the site of the tow at **** I within 2 minutes of hearing from a resident at the Pacific Courtyard Apartments informed me that while I was getting my dog water that my car was being hooked up to a tow truck I ran out and pleeded with them not to take my home that I was using to escape a DV violent attack from the lease holder of the apartment I was staying in when safe to do so with my ex husband my abuser. I explained that all of my possession that I had and didn't want stolen are in my vehicle including food for me and my dog. I told him I had no place to take my possession out of my vehicle home and store at that moment in with less than ten minutes notice of tow. He said he didn't care so I called ******************************* and he agreed to pay the $270 that they were requesting. The tow man said at that moment no now he wanted $500. That was unaffordable for me or ****. I called daily requesting my home and possession be released to me. The ************ refused to give me a form to request a hearing regarding the tow and said that they were selling my home vehicle and my possession and claiming I abandoned them . I can provide statement from ******************************* and other documents showing I was refused the right to contest the tow and fees which are almost ******* in less than one month

The customer was properly informed of all the requirements and procedures. The vehicle is not currently registered in the customer's name. We informed the customer that if she would like to go register the vehicle in her name and bring us the current registration we would have no problem at all giving her the documents in which she was requesting she was also informed that by the time the court case would be appointed the car might possibly be sold at our public auction. The customer has had knowledge of the vehicle being in our possession since that date of impound and has been informed several times of the policies , laws and procedures. We have not denied her the option to provide us with adequate and legal paperwork ( I.E title and bill of sale , current registration.) in order to pay for and redeem the vehicle. The customer was insinuating that we give the vehicle back at no expense of her own because she was living in the vehicle , She at the time did not have any paperwork stating the vehicle as a homestead , the vehicle was also on private property not public so the homestead act does not apply in her situation which she was informed of as well. lucky transport and its employees followed every rule and procedure in handling this situation.

The customer paid what everyone else pays, we did not over charge said customer. it was $270 for the tow  , $89  per day for the storage. we had the vehicle for 1.5 days which is $133.50 plus ****% tax ($41.56) giving a total of $445.06. We got called by the apartments to do a job, by an authorized signer on the contract, he was supposedly working on the vehicle and the vehicle supposedly did not run , making the vehicle inoperable. Lucky transport and its employees followed the laws and rules accordingly. No unjust was done here .

What is the process usually in this type of case? This is frustrating enough that I'd had to deal with the matter but its not right to have people that aren't fully coherent to the English language and let alone begin to understand terms or in full depth what contrary means and let alone be taken advantage of especially for something that is of importance

Re: in lieu of the response from the business "Lucky Transport" is in fact in this incident operating incorrectly corresponding to the fact that postings warning about unauthorized vehicles and towing was in fact posted" at owners expense" now how is that there was a charge not only from the independent tow driver but also why was there a charge from the *** also? Obviously this here wasn't handled properly on the premise of "false advertising" misleading with official posting and miscalculated charges definitely. It seems to be that the customer was treated from your two businesses "with prejudice", one sided and for the record the vehicle was literally towed a day and technically there was no indication of time of day and hours tallied since the process of retrieval from your ***** . This whole incident has caused hardship, loss of sustainability and even tho the customer was struggling with homelessness you still overcharged him and there is not acceptable beyond reason and no doubt non complacent to running a "professional business" and we are asking to remedy this with full refund. "Else more further action will be taken if necessary" official.

Apparently this business is u accordingly running miscalculations along with false taxation and seems to be aing towards more a prejudice issue on the grounds of the excessive charges compared to the one document issued by the *** evidence from a WA state business operating claiming tax at excessive rates "**** percent" clearly is   non-judicial to consumer writes and representation from the obviously displayed inventory checklist as conducted paperwork and am asking for full refund and furthermore "inventory" in my loss of time and to the customer whom Im representing due to having to take time from our lively hoods to have to come back to deal with a false accruing of dividends, massed by ****** charged time and rate as presented from their establishment. I believe they should be relieved from the license they set for operating to the community wholesome and sales.

This posting is clearly another reason why the vehicle owner shouldnt have to be responsible for the towing fee as it states "at owners risk"  can be applicable towards any entity that presume ownership to anything they own or in lamens how exactly is it not the owner of the establishment to not have to be responsible for the tow company being paid, Either the sign was there by vandals or was is not approved by management and or ownership. Let alone is who is the one responsible for making such a call
