4/19/22 I was given an estimate on the price to repair my vehicle. After having my vehicle since 4/19/22, True Tech stated that the repairs were not going as planned. (this was on 5/28/22) After tearing my ar apart (7 times!) they informed me that it was a cracked block. They said I had 2 choices, they could push it out of the shop and I could get it towed, or I could buy a new or used motor. I do not understand how this was not apparent after the first time it was torn apart, or the 6 times after that! I had to pay for a rental car for an entire month which cost me $2,400.00. I have an intellectual disability and I feel that I was taken advantage of because of this. The total cost of repairs including labor was $4,141.37. That is not including the new motor which I have not purchased yet. I have spent $6541.37 and still do not have a running vehicle.

Customer (***********************)  came into our shop April 12th saying that he came from a oil change place saying that he was low on coolant and had a coolant leak. On initial visual inspection vehicle was low on coolant so tech added coolant and then  tech pressure tested cooling system found coolant in the valley of the intake. Customer set up an appointment for April 18th to get the intake gasket and oil pressure sensor fixed. Tech got intake removed and then we found that the coolant was actually coming from the rear cylinder head gasket. Mikie told Nate that we had a bigger problem than just the intake gasket Mikie explained that the rear cylinder head gasket was leaking coolant. Then Nate was given the Estimate for cylinder head gasket replacement as Mikie explained there was no way to see or tell if the cylinder heads where ok or not we would not know until they got to the machine shop to be checked. Vehicle sat here for about a week until he got back to us. Then we got the approval from Nate to start on the work. We explained the process to Nate that we would send the cylinder heads out to a 3rd party machine shop to be pressure tested and cleaned we told him it could take up to a week possibly longer due to there work load. Called him roughly April 28th to let him know that the machine shop called saying that the cylinder heads where ok and that the rear cylinder head gasket was leaking. We proceeded to check to check the block decking with a Stright edge to make sure surface was flat and it was. Reinstalled cylinder heads. Tech started vehicle and vehicle ran great until vehicles thermostat opened up then vehicle started to run poorly. With further inspection tech found coolant in oil. had tech take timing cover back off of engine to replace possible pitched water pump gasket. Gasket looked to be fine but replaced anyways. Tech put vehicle back together and start up again and once thermostat opened up vehicle ran poorly again. Owner had tech take the timing cover back off again to put OEM gasket in thinking that was the problem. Had to order gasket from the dealer witch took 8 business days to get. Installed OE gasket put timing cover back together started vehicle same problem. Tech removed timing cover again to replace water pump thinking it was internally leaking put vehicle back together same problem. Owner has been in contact with Nate during all of this letting him know what has been going on each time. Owner came in over the weekend May 28th to the 30th invited Nate to come by to see too what was going on but Nate never came by. owner took timing cover back off to inspect timing cover and gaskets.  Owner re installed timing cover with RTV (Gasket sealant)  let sit over night to cure started vehicle same problem running poorly once thermostat opened up. Owner put a pressure tester on vehicle and could hear internal leaking. Owner pulled valve covers back off stuck camera behind timing chains and found a stream of coolant Owner removed timing cover Again and  pulled timing chains back off and tech found a crack in the engine block where the water pump gasket sits (there are 2 water pump gaskets there is one on the outside of water pump and one on the inside we replaced the outside one 3 times) Owner contacted Nate may 29th no response until June 1st. Owner explained to Nate what he did over the weekend and what he found. Owner explained to Nate that he would need Either a new or used engine There is no way to fix the cracked block Nate then hung up on **** (Owner). did not hear from Nate for a couple days. Nate called back and Demanded that vehicle was fixed now and he was not going to pay. Owner then explained the situation again to Nate and Owner stated to Nate that vehicle overheated very bad for this to happen. then Nate proceeded to tell **** (Owner) that vehicle overheated all the time on him and that he was having to add coolant all the time. (This was never explained to us when he initially brought vehicle in to us). we fixed the head gasket leak and unfortunately we had no clue because it was leaking coolant out of the head gasket and no pressure made it to the crack in the block. Owner called him back again because we located a used motor and Owner was trying to help Nate out by telling Nate as well as nates mom (because she was on this phone call as well) that he would just need to pay for the parts and engine and **** would not charge him any labor to take the old engine out and install the used engine for free. Nate said he would call us back and a week went by and Mikie reached out to Nate and Nate said he was still waiting  and then we received this Email the next day. According to his complaint we did not discriminate... now that this has taken so long and vehicle has been up on our lift for the past month and a half Owner is going to put vehicle back together and push it outside because we are need that lift. vehicle will be in our front lot that is unsecure and TrueTech Automotive is not held liable for any theft or damage.
