We contracted with Gutter Empire to replace our gutters for $8,001.00. The quote included removing old fascia board and replacing it with new to completely close air gaps and to seal the attic space, which had substantial damage from rodents. We upgraded to a larger gutter size as they recommended. After putting the fascia board on, we realized upon entering the attic space that large gaps still remained. We approached Dimitri, the owner, with this information. He said that he would need to charge us an addl $3,000 to adequately close the gap. We refused, and his company left the job site. The next day he called back apologetic and agreed to replace the fascia board with the larger board to ensure that the gaps were closed completely as per contract. They did this improperly and large gaps remained. They installed the larger 6 in. gutters and then tried to attach 2x3 in. downspouts to our upgraded gutters. We told then that this didnt make sense as there would have been no reason to upgrade to the larger gutters if they were draining into smaller downspouts. The workers agreed, and they stopped working at that point. They called the owner and he said that there would be an addl $850 charge for this. We didnt think that this was fair, but as they threatened to stop work completely and rain was forecast, we agreed to the extra charge of $850. There was also an issue with improper size holes that had to be recut. When they stated that they were finished, they attempted to charge us addl $1500 for the larger downspouts that wasnt written into the contract. When we tried to view the original contract, they had illegally changed the total to the higher amount that was never approved by us. Some of the gutters arent draining properly, and there are still gaps that need to be closed completely. We are seeking resolution with this company and would like this job to be finished as per contract. We are also seeking monetary compensation.

This issue has been resolved 10/30/2021. Our company stands for quality and professionalism. The quote that was accepted by the client showed 1x6 fascia board, 6k gutters, and 2x3 downspouts for price of $8001. When we installed new fascia board it didn't cover the attic gabs, which we agreed to switch to 1x8 fascia board to meet client's expectations. When we installed 6k gutters, next step was to install 2x3 downspouts. Client said he wants 3x4 downspouts, because he read on our website that 3x4 downspouts work better with 6k gutters. We explained that it will cost more for 3x4 downspouts, since it will be an upgrade and it's a premium system that also comes with cleanouts and wide mouth oulets, and it's all cost more. Our estimator also came out to explain all this information and provided a new price. Client agreed to pay extra for upgrade per estimator. We came out the next day to install 3x4 downspouts, due to drain pipe drainage issue, client asked us to make custom downspout drainage, which we done and used extra 100ft of downspouts. We explained that this will cost more since we had to use more material. Customer was upset for the price and didn't want to pay anything extra, there was few things that customer wanted us to change and we told him that we will reach out that week to schedule a new day. Due to owner's grandmother death, he had to take few days off and couldn't reach out to the customer. He did reach out the following Monday and came out on 10/30/21. Everything was done and finished as customer wanted. Invoice was paid at the end.
