I have a five year warranty on my engine, and took my car to be repaired. They did it at no charge but when bring my car to me, their employee hit a pull, so they needed to do more repairs to my car and gave me a loaner. The loaner was damaged, but they didnt tell me I needed to reach out to my insurance, instead waited until the car was repaired and is now withholding my vehicle (when I owe no balance for my repairs) until I pay in full $3,333 for the damages to the loaner. I now two months later have been trying to work with my insurance but they didnt tell me I needed to do this.Business response

To Whom It May ************************ October 30th, 2023, ************** brought her vehicle into our Dick Hannah Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and ****************** to address her concerns with a check engine light. Ultimately, the repairs were covered under the manufacturers warranty. During her visit, minor damage occurred to the drivers door which we agreed to repair at no cost to **************. We also provided her with a complimentary rental vehicle while the repairs were being completed so long as she signed our standard rental car agreement. ************** signed the agreement, accepting responsibility for any damage or fees associated with her use during the rental period.
On November 11th, 2023, we received a call stating that the rental vehicle had been impounded. We informed ************** that she would be responsible for the impound fees associated with retrieving our rental vehicle. After D*** Hannah paid to retrieve the vehicle, we found additional body damage to the rear lift-gate as well. We were still in possession of Ms. ****** personal vehicle while we were finalizing the amount owed due to the damage and impound fees.
On January 12th, 2023, ************** paid the total amount due and is now in possession of her vehicle. As such, both parties consider the matter resolved at this time. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.
