On October 12, I signed up for a limited time offer for a $1 subscription to the Walla Walla Union Bulletin. Upon entering my credit card details and other information and completing the transaction, I did not receive a confirmation that I had subscribed to the service. I then found out that I could not access the newspaper's articles on the website, despite the money being deducted from my bank account. I left a voicemail message with Customer Service a week or two following the subscription to report the problem (once I realized that the money had been deducted from my account), but I did not receive a call back. I called today, Monday November 1, and I spoke with Adam in Circulation about the subscription issue. He stated that he didn't understand the situation and that he would need to speak with his supervisor. After many minutes on hold, Adam came back on the line but stated that he could not hear me, despite our phone connection not having changed. He hung up. When I returned the call, I was hung up on again. Returning the call a second time, my call was directed to voicemail. So far, my phone call has not been returned, despite Caller ID being available and after leaving my phone number on both voicemail messages. I was hoping to support the newspaper in the long term, but the poor digital subscription infrastructure and the customer service over the past couple of weeks has been really disappointing. I would like a full refund please.
