I sold my 2014 **** Mustang to Barry Automotive for $10,000 on October 1st, 2022. The vehicle was financed through ********************* with the pay off amount of just over $7,000. We were told that we would not get the difference until the title was released by Solarity. It's been 6 weeks now, I've followed up with Barry Automotive to ask for the money they owe me. Solarity received the pay off money on October 17th, and 10 days later they released the title to the vehicle (October 27th the vehicle was legally owned by Barry Automotive). Barry Automotive told me that I can't get my portion of the sale until they have a title in hand, which can now take the *** 6-8 weeks from the time they receive the title transfer information from the finance company. Barry Automotive SOLD the vehicle to another dealership within a few days from the date I sold it to them. That dealership then sold the vehicle to a person, all within a week. Neither dealership has a title in hand, and all of this was done before my finance company even received a payoff for the vehicle.
