About 30 years ago, my family and I started to visit the Westport area during the summer. My wife and I got to know and formed an excellent relationship with the owners, ***************************************** we would take the trailer out to the ** park on the 1st of July and would keep it there during the entire month. We would stay at the park for the first week or so, come home, and then return weekends for the rest of the month. This continued for somewhere around 25 years, until the Lauviks decided to retire and sold the ** park and motel to a Korean couple who only kept the place for 1 or 2 years. The next owner(s) we understood to be a partnership out of ********** and the partner that we met was named *******.When we returned in 2021 ******* wasnt there but we followed the same routine. We checked in on July 1st. On July 2nd, I drove home to get my boat and brought it back on the following day. I fished on the next 2 days, July 4th and 5th, and then took the boat and my fish home on July 6th. I returned to Westport the next day. My wife and I were there for a couple of days before returning home. I partially tore the meniscus on my right knee which prevented us from spending much more time at the campground during the remainder of the month. We removed the trailer promptly at the end of the month while I was awaiting surgery. This year, I made our usual reservations and received a confirmation. Then, in early May I received a number of phone calls and an email from the ** Park that cancelled our reservation. The woman at the campground, *****, simply told me that she had been informed by the owner(s) that my name was on a sort of ************** list and that she had directed to directed to cancel my reservation. There was no specific reason given to me.Given the few days that we were actually there last year, I can't begin to understand how we could have offended anyone. I have since sent 2 emails to the ** park looking for an explanation.
