My husband and I scheduled routine maintenance of our air conditioning and tankless hot water system on July 18, 2023. We used Premier Mechanical & Electric because one of their technicians had serviced both systems two years ago and we were quite happy with that service. Although we had specified the make and model numbers of our equipment when we scheduled the service, when the technician arrived (a different technician than the one who performed the prior service), he told my husband he had never worked on a heating system like ours. He spent a significant amount of time consulting the manual and when we received the bill it was twice what we had been charged for service the prior time. The service done in 2021 included maintenance and replacement of some pipe that had been leaking and that technician completed both in two hours. The service completed in July was just maintenance with no repair and it took that technician four hours, dramatically increasing the cost of the work. In addition, that technician recommended an additional $1,100.00 worth of repairs to move something from inside the heating unit to outside so it would be easier to access, and to replace two other items because they might fail at some point in the future.I have exchanged four rounds of email with the company pointing out that they sent a technician who told us he did not have experience with our equipment and then charged us for twice as much labor because it took him so much time to review the manual. They stated there must of have been some miscommunication because the technician they sent has years of experience. They then made multiple excuses about why the maintenance took so long. I have asked them to reduce our bill accordingly to make it comparable to the work done previously by an experienced technician and they have refused. In the most recent email they threatened to send the bill to collections so I paid it, not wanting to incur further costs.Business response

As far as we are concerned this matter is closed, the client has paid the invoice in full.
