              We wanted to stay local and give our sale to a small business. We hired Cloth Tattoo to make custom logo patches and sew them on to $200 Patagonia jackets (that we provided) which were being given to our employees as Christmas gifts. The owner accepted the order and was verbally told exactly where we wanted the patches to be sewn. Imagine our surprise when we went to pick up the jackets only to find that the patches had sewn in the wrong place, which essentially ruined ALL of the $200 jackets. We asked them to replace the jackets and they flatly refused, telling us that it was our responsibility as the customer to put our desired patch location in writing for them. They assumed no responsibility for this very costly mistake. On top of this, they refused to refund us what we had already paid for the patches. If you want quality work that is done with precision and care, DO NOT use this company!

              Today I went to pick up our order. When I reminded ***** that she had promised not to charge us for sewing our patches (in the wrong place) on our $200 dollar jackets, she reneged, saying that she was now going to charge us "because someone submitted a bad review to the Better Business Bureau". She sews patches in the wrong place, refuses to replace damaged jackets and do the job 'right', and then retracts an offer she made by charging us for her poor work. Is this who you want to trust with your project? We certainly won't ever be doing business with ***** or Cloth Tattoo again.

              ***** initially inquired via email about making custom logo patches for her company. ***** another employee, took over the project and placed an order for the patches. The patches were completed to their specifications. Soon after she picked up and paid for the patches, **** brought in some jackets and made a second request to sew some of the finished patches across from the Patagonia logo. As such, we sewed the patches on the opposite chest in line with the logo. When **** came to pick up the jackets a week later, she claimed that she had wanted the patches sewn on the sleeve instead. We offered to remove the patches, sew them to the location she desired, and to waive the $5 sewing charge. **** rejected these offers and demanded we replace the $200 jackets and refund her for the initial patch order, or she would write a bad review. Later, ***** picked up the jackets and accepted them as they were. We take pride in our work and are sorry for the miscommunication.

              My employee did not write the BBB review - I, as one of the business owners, felt compelled to submit this in order to inform others of our experience. When we went to pick up the jackets and discovered the patches had been sewn in the wrong location, ***** removed one of them to see if it was possible to correct their error and sew them on the sleeve (as we'd requested). It was very obvious that this was not going to be an option because the jackets had been irreparably damaged by the original stitching. The only way Cloth Tattoo could make us 'whole' would have been to replace the jackets, which ***** flatly refused to do. In our experience, there was no pride in workmanship and certainly no accountability taken for their error. We did not "accept" their work. Instead, we were were left with no other choice but to take our damaged jackets in the state they were turned over to us.
