Worst dentist practice I've ever been to. Al they do is fleece you and your insurance company, I've been waiting on a crown replacement (this is to replace a fractured crown that didn't even last 3 years from Aventa) for over 2 & 1/2 months for this simple procedure. Total incompetence and they certainly do not care about the patients oral health, only care about padding their wallets. This place should be shut down for their horrific dental care and fleecing of the patient.

I went to Avanta dental for an extraction. They gave me a 45 minute sales pitch to get a bone graft after the extraction. The extraction took 4 hours and they had to take the root off the bone. I later learned even in that situation, the extraction should have never taken that long. I learned from another dentist that after one hour the rates of infection go way up. My extraction site became infected. I was out of town and called for help. The dentist spoke to me and I sent a picture and then the office girl said she would call me back if he didn't. Well he didn't. The office girl told me I was ok. I started an antibiotic but it didn't work. The site began to bleed, my glands swelled and I was in excruciating pain. I called Avanta dental 7 times and they wouldn't call me back. I had to see another dentist who also wanted to hear back from the dentist treating me. I also had a friend go to the office to ask them to please help me. No response. They have a duty for aftercare and to help me in this situation. I still had pain and a I have had to go to other dentists. A piece of root was left in the extraction site. I asked the office to not be charged because of the poor aftercare and because the graft was compromised. I am still experiencing jaw pain and neuralgia. I didn't ask for anything except to not charge me due to the poor customer service. My regular dentist said because the site was so troublesome, I couldn't have an implant now at all. Advanta dental said that they would only not charge me if I signed an agreement with a non disclosure clauses that were three pages long. These pages threatened to take legal action against me if I told other people what happened to me. I found out that this practice is against the ************************ Consumer Protection laws. Consumers have the right to make reviews and complaints to protect other customers. I wasn't asking for money just no charge. I am only writing this to protect others.

I was a patient with them for 10 years, even before they became Avanta dental, and their patient care has gone down every year while their prices have been increasing at a very high rate. I was getting an implant and crown done with them and after the implant portion I had an almost $1000 credit. When it came time to get the crown, which I was quoted at $1300, they did the impression and made the crown and then called me stated I needed to make arrangements to pay $750. It was never discussed with me that they were using the credit or that the crown had now increased in price by almost $500. When I discussed this with them, it was basically a sorry about your luck attitude. This was just the most recent situation of not only bad patient care but exhorbitant price gouging.
