On or around 4/1/2022 I requested a quote for a fencing from Northwest Fence and Contracting of the backyard area of my home on *********************************************************. I was able to receive the quote quickly from the company and after a week decided to go through with the job. On April 15th I withdrew 9.723.02 on 4/15/2022 and met with *************************** for the exchange of money. I retrieved the money from my back using a bank check, and met *************************** at 807 ************ in ******, signing a contract agreement for the work and giving the **** the check for the full amount of the job on 4/15/2022. The bank shows this money leaving my account as later that day. ********************** stated that it was a "first come, first component to his contract for the fence and stated that his crew would begin working the 3rd week of May, I have not only had no action from them to begin the fence, *************************** contacted me once via email to let me know they were coping with the unintentional death and the construction would be delayed until 06/06/2022. As of this writing I have not yet heard from ********************** regarding the new agreed upon new start and subsequent end date. I have left several voicemails and several emails, none of which have been returned. As of this writing I have no fence and ********************** has refused to contact me but does have almost $10,000 of my loan money that I am now making payments and paying interest on each month. Can you please help me with either the return of at least the funds given to ********************** by myself or the agreed upon fencing and construction begin as soon as possible

On 4/8, we signed a contract and wrote a check for building materials for Northwest Fence and Contracting to install a fence at our new home. Our check amount was for $6581.14. At time of signing, we were told they were 5-6 weeks out to install the fence. Starting on 5/9, we began calling Northwest Fence and Contracting for an update as we hadn't received any further communication. We were able to speak with someone on 5/11 after multiple phone calls and voicemails. At that time, the person we spoke with indicated his crew would be to our home the next day to outline electrical wiring underground. His crew did show up and indicated they would return the following Monday (5/16) or Tuesday (5/17) to install the fence. On Sunday, 5/15 we received an email stating there was a death in their crew and they would be out the following week on 5/23 to install the fence. On 5/23, no one arrived. Due to the nature of the delay, we didn't start calling until 5/25 in hopes that the crew would be out before then. On 5/25, we began calling and emailing asking for an update. We left multiple voicemails, sent texts, and emails and have not received any response. On 5/31 (day of submitting this complaint) we have not received any communication regarding our fence since the email indicating a delay on 5/15.

On 9/22/2021 I signed a contract with Northwest Fence and contracting (***************************) to build a new fence for us. We were required to pay $4478.06 for materials up front. We were told that the job would be scheduled and completed around November 2021. NW Fence fell behind, the crew became ill with covid and by December there was too much snow in our area for a fence to be built. I stated that if they could put us on their schedule for late spring/early summer that would be fine. *************************** said he would do so. In the spring I contacted **** and asked for our job to be scheduled. My emails were ignored for weeks. He finally reluctantly agreed to schedule a start date of 4/18. Nobody showed up, emailed or called. He then began giving us false dates that he would call and give us a new start date. This sort of thing went on for a few weeks. We realized that we were not a priority and asked for a refund because we no longer trusted him and don't want them to build our fence. At one point my husband called him from a work phone and **** actually answered. My husband demanded a refund. **** told him he would send a cashier's check via certified mail. 2 weeks has gone by and the check has never arrived. He will not respond to any of our calls, emails or voicemails. We feel that this company cannot be trusted and is dishonest and has essentially stolen our $4478.06. We would like assistance obtaining a refund.
