Heat pump of a new 2020 build went out on or around 03/06, contacted a known company to fix this and initially contacted Rainier general on 03/08. G&G heating came out to diagnose and quoted me work to fix it. Potentially just under $4000 to fix the issues, due to the equipment never being registered so it was not covered under warranty. Rainier general had there person (pro air) come confirm the diagnosis on 03/12, I delayed having G&G from fixing to further communicate with Rainier General. Timelines or pricing/money was never discussed even though I mentioned compensation multiple times. Pro Air mentioned maybe a few hundred dollars of work assuming the parts were under warranty and they could complete, I mentioned I would be talking to rainier general for further guidance before making a decision. Rainier general then became defensive and refused to help or provide information. ending of communication was very abrupt and did not allow me to look at different options prior to committing to working with Pro Air, who used 2013 and 2019 equipment in a new build home, as well as never register the equipment to get warranty. This was again confirmed by another company, Perfect Temp, that equipment was not register. Rainier General and their heat pump installer were rude and difficult to work with. They never ensured my equipment was registered for warranty resulting in a higher cost for fixing these issues. I paid perfect temp for $1,136.34 to fix this issue and am seeking compensation from Rainier General since their installer never registered the equipment on day of installation nor gave me information regarding the equipment.
