Contacted Best Choice Siding, LLC (BC*) in May 2021 to replace run-off pipes (downspout extensions). Previous downspout extensions were installed by BC* in August 2017. Due to recent landscaping, longer downspout extensions were needed. During the walk-though, BC* **** ***** stated that 3 of the 5 extensions could be re-used to save on cost: 2 extensions on the ** corner were placed on the * side of the house, 1 extension on the * side of the house was cut and used as 1 of the downspouts on the ** side. 2 downspout extensions were needed-1 for the * side and an additional 1 on the ** side. Downspout extensions completed early June 2021. Received invoice November 23, 2021. Contacted BC* **** ***** **** to get an understanding of invoice #**** that states "Replace run-off pipes with longer ones" in the amount of $175.00. Previous invoice #**** from 2017 to install all new run off pipes with flip-up hinge's was $170.00. Contacted BC* rep ***** **** on November 29th, 2021. Received a call-back the evening of November 29th at 6:45pm. As I inquired about the invoice, ***** became aggressive and combative stating the he would rather be spending time with family then talking to someone about an invoice. This is one of the owners on the business. I stated that I have been happy with the work they have done in the past and have recommended them to others, I just wanted an explanation of the charges. Why $175.00 when only 2 downspout extensions needed to be purchased (previous install August 2017 for five extensions was $170). ***** again became combative and stated that I can pay want I want. I stated that I want to compensate BC*, I want to pay fairly on the work actually completed and to ensure that I am paying for the correct invoice that I received 5 months later. ***** stated that parts came to $40.00 and then became combative and stated that I can pay what I want. At this time, I ended the call. I am willing to pay the $40.00 that he mentioned.Business response

I was very fair with this customer. he wants to pay for the materials only and not my time. It was a small job but still had to take time to stop at job to talk with him about what he wanted done, order the materials, receive and inventory materials, load materials ,drive truck and trailer to his house ,and install three new pipes, and redo two old pipes, and invoice him. I had already charged him less than my minimum trip charge, and yes I was upset when he called to complain that his **** was too much.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
In response to Best Choice Siding, LLC (***) response, I contacted *** to inquire about/get an explanation about the amount. Invoice was received 5 months later. I did not call to complain. During our call when the *** rep became combative, *** rep stated that "I can pay what I want." I would like to resolve this issue and be done with ***. I will pay the $40.00 for the cost of the downspouts and $60.00 for his time/labor for a total of $100.00.Regards,

Mr. Schulz is obviously not getting the point that it's not about the money. I gave him a good deal twice. it's going to be worth not getting the ****** if I don't ever have to hear his cheap, not man enough to pay his ****, whinny voice ever again.Customer response

Best Choice Siding (BCS) response showcases his lack of business sense and ignorance. A personal attack on someones character?
As stated in my previous responses, I wanted to compensate BCS for the work completed. I never complained about the invoice as assumed by BCS. I inquired about the invoice. When I inquired about the invoice, BCS rep became immediately combative and told me to pay want you want.
I was never offered an itemized invoice showing all the charges for the work completed. I never heard let me send another invoice (via email or mail) that shows my charges, including the discounted trip charge I gave you. I offered $40.00 for cost of parts, $60.00 for his time for a total of $100.00. Instead of attacking my character, do you accept the $100.00?
