I had oral surgery on Friday, October 1st, 2021, Before the procedure, I had a consultation at Oral Surgery Associates on what my insurance would pay and what I would owe. They were very clear on what I would owe. One of the teeth wouldn't come out so they had to make an incision. Upon leaving, I was called into an office to pay the difference of what the insurance wouldn't. Before leaving the office I made a payment. Fast forward to February 14th, when I got a past due **** of over 91 days from Oral Surgery Associates for a difference of ******. The next day, I called about the ****. It showed that the insurance hadn't made a payment until February 11. I explained to the person on the phone that it wasn't my fault they didn't get insurance money until February and that I had made a payment to them on October 1 before leaving the office of what I thought (and they thought) was due. I said I didn't think that it was right that the **** showed I had a past due of over 91 days. It didn't show I had made a payment before leaving on the day of the procedure. I paid $20 over the phone that day and asked if I could set up a payment plan. The billing person ignored my request to set up a payment plan. On March 11 I received another **** from Oral Surgery Associates for the remainder I owed of 331. 80. Again on the **** it showed I was 91 days past due, there had been no activity since the procedure,(untrue I had made a payment before leaving on October 1). The **** showed on 2/11/22 there had been a payment from the insurance for ****** and February 15 a patient payment for *****. On the bottom of the ****, it said insurance last billed on 01/10/2022 and patient portion due by 03/24. I went online and paid ****** of the remaining ******. I would like Oral Surgery Associates to in fact, fix this credit error showing that I was past due when in fact I had made a payment in October and they last billed the insurance in January.
