We received an estimate from *****'s Tree, a division of ******** landscaping, to have 3 trees removed, the stumps ground down and a tree branch trimmed. They offered to schedule the service on September 28th. **** responded via text, no it won't work. On Wed September 28th when we got home from work, ************************* came on our property - after being told no to the work- and decided to do it anyway- well part of it. My husband immediately got on the phone and contacted them. The person on the phone claimed to have a contract. There was never any contract! We only ever got an estimate, and when the company pushed to schedule, we told them no. Thank goodness we have this in writing in a text! Now they are billing us for "services rendered" that we NEVER agreed to. It concerns me that this company is forcing their services on people who reach out for an estimate by doing the work without a contract and, in our case after being told no. Then they have the arrogance to turn around and bill us for services we declined! They also took away our option to have the trees treated instead of removed, which was the other estimate we were waiting on before we committed to anything! They not only took away our right to choose what happens to our trees on our property, but they had the nerve to bill us for something we did not want. We attempted to file a police report for the damage to our property but was informed that this is a civil matter. I personally believe this is a police matter, I believe that their behavior was criminal due to the damage to our property and I believe they are scamming by billing people for "services rendered" on work that was never agreed to. Also, they claim there was a contract, but what they claim to be a contract was the estimate, with the words ESTIMATE clearly written. The estimate included ***** grinding, which never occurred. So how can they claim there is a contract and breach said "contract" at the same time?
