This towing company was part of the police rotation for towing after an accident. My minor daughter was involved in an accident at 8:20PM. This company was called by the police to tow the vehicle. I arrived at the scene of the accident at 9PM, and called the towing company. My intent was to drive the vehicle or trailer it home myself. The driver told me that they had already dropped the vehicle at their shop behind a locked gate. He continued to explain that I would be charged $160 for the tow, and $40 per day for storage. Their shop was less than 5 miles from the scene of the accident. He also informed me that there would be a charge for opening the gate after hours and unless I was prepared with trailer, etc, it would not make sense to look at the vehicle that same night. He also informed me that storage fees would begin at midnight. The next day, I arrived at the shop around 9AM and looked at the vehicle. I was told that the vehicle would not start. The vehicle started, but was not drivable due to the damage. I asked the company what they would charge to tow the vehicle back to my residence and they said $75. I later arranged for someone I know to tow the vehicle back to my residence. When I went to pay the ****, the total was $253. The company explained that I was charged for 2 days worth of storage. The first day was from when the vehicle entered their property until midnight and the second day was from midnight until the vehicle was picked up. The vehicle was picked up around 2PM. I questioned how they could charge 2 days worth of vehicle storage when the vehicle had not even been in their possession for 24 hours. They said that all police calls are the same and they do that so that insurance companies do not drag their feet. They refused to adjust the ****. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
