  Started 07/31/2019I signed a contract with the work( sealing my asphalt driveway) I paid $387.00 by check.They came in September of 2019 and applied the sealer.The sealer started peeling as soon as it dried.I called them back and we agreed to let it peel completly and then they would redo it.2020 passed without them returning.I called again in 2021 and they said they would come and re seal it. they didn't come. Finnally it was agreed they would come the week of September 6th.They didn't show up or call.I called them on Sept.14 and talked to *****, who became belligerent when I wanted it done this Thurs. Sept 16th. or return my money He refused and Said "Fuck You " and hung up on me.Someone else called me and said they were coming now on Sept 14th.I said no because my driveway is wet from last nights rain I asked for them to come Thurs Sept 16 he told me no today or never and refused to refund my money

  To whom this may concern:
  We quoted sealing ***************************** asphalt on 07/31/19 and he signed the contract that same day. ******* did not want it done until September of 2019. We returned on 10/07/19 to clean and seal driveway. It was later then excepted because of all the rain that we were getting. After the job was completed, he wrote out a check and said it look great. In June of 2020 he called and said it was peeling up. We told him there was no warranty, but we would be willing to put another coat on it, but we wanted to wait until 2021 to make sure there was no more issues. In June 2021 we went to inspect the drive and we did not see any peeling at all and the driveway looked good. but still agreed to put another coat on it. Contacted ******* 2 times to be able to put the coat on and he stated it did not work for him. He does not realize that with a gravel driveway leading up to the blacktop part, stone get stuck in the tires and make marks on the blacktop. On Tuesday September 14, ******* called to see when we would be able to reseal it and if we did not seal it soon he would call BBB. ***** told him to do what ever he had to do. **** then called him at 9:55 AM on September 14 and left a message we would be there today to seal it. ******* called back at 9:58 AM and said it was too wet. Again, there is no warranty
  with any of the driveways and we only agreed to recoat to try to make him happy, but it did not matter what we did we could not make him happy. We will not refund any money on this project because he did not contact us until the follow year. (No Warranty)

  C&M put the latex material on a wet surface that they did not do any prep work on.

   The driveway did look good wet, but began peeling as it began to dry.

   I contacted them right away, not the following year. They came and looked at it and agreed to redo it after the entire coating peeled off.

   They never came and looked at the driveway in 2021. They said they would be there to recoat it the week of September 6th, but did not show up or call.

   I called them on sept 14th and talked to *****, when I complained about the service He Told me F---- Y-- , do it yourself. and hung up.

   I got a call a short time later and was told they were coming now. I said no because we had gotten a 1.5 inch rainfall the night before and putting the latex sealer down would have the same result as before.

  I was told then there was no pleasing me and they were not going to fix it or refund my money. Any customer would be unpleased with this kind of service

   Bottom line. This company used a low quality product applied in a poor manner.

   When questioned they became RUDE, and BELLIGERENT They have been UNTRUTHFUL, and offer low quality service.

  Anybody needing driveway sealing done, should avoid this outfit. Buyer Beware.

  He did not call us in 2019 it is 2020. We only went by what the customer claimed and never went back to the property until 2021. It was all done over the phone. That is why in June 2021 they were in the neighborhood and stopped to look at it. The customer was home and came out to talk. They said it looked good but would still recoat it. We did clean the driveway with a steel broom and a blower to get all the dirt or grass ofl. The customer was home and watched us do the cleaning.  This is not a latex sealer it is a water base material. The product we put down is great product and this is the only one out of 80 jobs we did that year. Again, we tried to schedule to recoat several times. At this point there is nothing we can do.
  No Warranty.

  Once again C&M's response is untruthful.

  I contacted them in 2019. 

  They probably didn't show up to observe the peeling till spring of 2020. They agreed to redo it in2021 when all the product they put down had all peeled off. This product began to peel off as soon as it dried. It did not adhere to my driveway.

  They looked at it and agreed to redo it after the stuff all peeled off.

   The recoat was scheduled, by them for the week of Sept 6th 2021. As stated before They didn't show up or call.

   I contacted them the next week to ascertain why they didn't come. At this time I was met with Rude, Abusive behavior. Told F--- Y--.

   I received a call back a short time later, by a different person who told me they were coming right now. I told them the driveway was all wet from the previous nights rainfall, and recoating would have the same result as before( no Adhesion).

  I was told they were going to do it now or they would not do it. There were no several attempts to reschedule.

  In a previous response I referred to their product as latex, they say it's water based. They are not even familiar enough with the product to know it is the same thing.

  The back and forth with C&M is not going anywhere.

  The facts in this case are simple. They were paid to perform a service. They did not adequately perform that service.

  The product they used did not adhere to my driveway. They agreed to fix it and they didn't do it.

  C&M's lack of fulfilling their responsibility, made it necessary for me to contact a reputable company, ***** Paving.. 

  They came in a timely manner prepped the driveway( clean and patch) put down a quality product , and gave me a guarantee.

   I would recommend them.

  In closing

   The facts are clear and simple. C&M  failed to provide the service they were paid for.

   I contacted the BBB, for a resolution, and to get this information on your wedsite so people could use it, to make a more informed decision, about who to trust for driveway sealing.

  In my case C&M did poor quality work, when questioned became RUDE, ABUSIVE and were UNTRUTHFUL in their responses.

   It is also telling, that no mention of the NO WARRANTY, was ever made until I filed this complaint.
