    We hired **** Parker in May 2021 to complete two rooms (one of which was 1/2 way completed already), complete remodel of a bathroom, sheetrock and paint the stairwell, and replace stairs. He did tell us when we signed that he has three jobs to finish before ours and he was thinking he would start in July 2021. On July 19th he told us he was starting his last job, a deck, & then ours was next. In October he was still working on the deck, in November he said he was still working on the deck and we told him he had to start by December or we wanted our money back. In November he said he finally had all the ************** would take him 2 weeks to finish. We said he need to start by December 20 or we wanted our money back. I emailed him the first week of December to make sure he was still on track and he would be starting on December 20. He said he was. He showed up for 2 hrs on December 20 & since that time he would show up a few hours here and there. 2 months later we gave him a time frame he needed to finish the sunroom and laundry room. Reluctantly he finished that. March 2022 he refused to give us time frames for the stairs and stairwell and the bathroom because the deck was not done and his taxes needed to be done. So after an argument, contract was terminated, & we requested the remaining dollar amount of $2050. We paid him $6000 up front for labor. We were buying all materials and he listed labor charges per room in the contract. Sunroom labor was $1,350, the laundry room was $2,250, laundry room floor was $350. **** refuses to return emails on when he will refund the money. He wants me to send a certified letter to ******** says it law, but it's the consumer protection act he is referring too and we do not need to send a certified letter as this is not a "law", it something you "may" use and it gives three options for requesting refund, mail, certified mail, or in-person. A letter requesting this refund was sent in March 2022.
