I missed my appointment on 9/2/2022 for my dog to get a booster shot. After missing the appointment, I received a text message that I "may be charged $60 fee" for the missed appointment. I called and rescheduled for 9/19/2022 and there wasn't any conversation regarding the $60 fee. I arrived for the appointment on the new date, my dog was taken from me by one technician, when into a room, was given a shot by another technician, and returned to me in a literal minute, 60 seconds. I went to go pay and was informed of the $60 fee. At this point I only paid for the booster shot which was $40.64 and refused to pay the $60 'no show' fee. On 10/6/2022 I received a bill in the mail for the $60 'no show' fee. Prior to any appointment, I have never been directed to any payment policy for doing business with this company. Brodhead Vet bought Monroe Vet within the last year or so ago. ****** Vet did not have any policy like this. I stopped into the office on 10/7/2022 to ask about this bill and to express my concerns. I let them know that only time I received anything about a $60 'no show' fee was after my missed appointment on 9/2/2022. They do not have anything in their office, nothing was ever said to me while in the office, and there is nothing on their website that states any about a 'no show' fee. The employee at the front desk did state that this fee would be removed from my bill, but to know that future missed appointments would have a fee of $60. She also stated that this information is on their ******** page. I have an issue that this information is not posted for customers to review in the ************* (not sure about Brodhead) and that it is not stated on their business website (https://www.brodheadvets.com/). I also have an issue that the fee that was charged was greater than the actual appointment cost. This does not seem reasonable for the fact it was a one minute appointment that only included techs, and not the vet.
