              On October 5,2022 Kerns carpet came and inlaid a gray, vinyl floor in kitchen and in hall. They claimed they were bonded and insured and could be left alone while I went to work. They did not put the floor all the way in one corner of the hallway. They *** deep *********** to door frame in hall by one bedroom. By the basement stairwell, they actually cracked the wall by the silver strip to hold the floor down. They went in the livingroom and knocked over decorations on a table. They left loose nails on the floor of the bedroom and in the basement. They left a Japaneese knife on the basement floor. Why they needed to go in the livingroom and basement is beyond me. They knocked over a new mop and pail in stairwell and just let it fall and stay at bottom of stairs. I would like some money refunded to call someone else to fix holes in walls. When I called Kerns he laughed. When I called their scheduler she said she would send same crew to fix it and I said I want someone else, I am afraid of them. And she said there is no one else.

              Kerns lied about Lifetime installation Warranty, Kerns installed a $4000 hard wood floor four years ago. however a very small strip had wood putty placed due to the cut made by contractor was not perfect. I called Kerns about the wood putty had came up, they sent a store manager out, he refused to replaced the small strip with wood putty about 8 inch long and 1/8 wide. would you want this company to give you a lifetime warranty. Go somewhere else.

              Dear **************:I read your complaint regarding our visit to your home regarding a wood floor you purchased from Kerns in 2016.The manager of the ****** store came to your home on 4/15 and again with our wood installer on 4/27 to inspect the floor. What they found was very different than what was articulated in your posting on the Better Business Bureau's website.The manager and the installer found someone had used a foreign substance on the gaps in the floor instead of calling Kerns for guidance. In addition, the gapping and lifting of the planks were consistent with water damage and suggested you call your insurance company because a leak might be present. Unfortunately, water damage is not an installation problem and therefore NOT covered under our lifetime installation warranty. Your best bet is to contact your insurance company because water damage can lead to other issues if not addressed
