I hired Armor Home Renewal on March 18th 2024. The owner of the company is ***********************. They were hired to prime/paint my entire kitchen over wallpaper which he indicated would show no seams. He guaranteed that you would never know I had wallpaper underneath and the primer and paint would be a smooth finish. I was told the project would take 3 days total and payment was exchanged. Jaiden was very responsive during the quote and money exchange. He told me that he had a crew and that he himself would be in an out to check how things are going. He has never once brought a crew. He doesnt have a crew. He is the crew but he tries to act like hes a business with workers. Once the project was set to start there was nothing but problems. He would say he was going to show up and never show this happened more than 10 times. He would respond days later after not showing up and have every excuse. Some of his excuses include his work crews truck broke, a service emergency, a family emergency, something was wrong with his grandma, hes fighting for his life in the hospital. When asked what about your crew why cant they finish this job he wouldnt respond. He assured me he had a crew but never presented with crew. Through messages he would guarantee our work would be finished by a certain date.. none of which happened. He has left my kitchen looking worse than when we started and now I will have to hire someone to fix this mess. I have told him I was using all my resources to put this situation out there so he doesnt keep scamming people and I have had no response. After doing some research I have found that he used to have a company named Armor Exterior Remodeling. If you look on the BBB it has 3 filed complaints. I believe this is the reason he changed his business name to now Armor Home Renewal. He uses different aliases. He goes by *********************** but I have found him on ******** under ****************************** say its been a nightmare is an understatement.

On 10/13 *********************** from Armor Exteriors started the job as documented in the contract and invoice (replacing and adding downspouts) on the house. Prior to this job starting based on the contracted we paid a down payment (50% retainer) of $1,180 in cash. He worked from 11 am - 1 pm on 10/13 and left the downspouts not connected to the gutters or house and as documented in the below text stated he would be back Friday, 10/14 to finish the job. He also requested we pay the payment 2 and 3 (25% and 15%) which is also documented in the below text exchange before he starts on Friday. We paid ****** $940 Friday morning following the contract. On 10/14 ****** worked from 9 am to 1 pm where he left the job unfinished again still leaving downspouts not connected to the gutters. He also added a downspout to the back of the house which was not level and over the window trim. We did not request the downspout to be placed here and when asked if he would fix this he did not respond. The pictures below all show the unfinished work he left us. When he left at 1 pm on Friday, 10/14 he said he was having a bad day and the quality of work would not be good so he would be back Saturday morning, 10/15 to finish. He never showed Saturday, 10/15 and we called and texted him multiple times. His response was that he would be back on Monday, 10/17 to finish. After multiple calls and text on Monday, 10/17 he did not show up and when asked when he planned to be back to finish he never responded. As also documented in the below text exchange we requested a refund if he did not plan to finish and there was also no response. Monday evening (10/17) we had another contractor come out to the house to assess the situation and he stated that all downspouts ****** installed will need to be fixed and we also will now need a new gutter due to the downspout he put on the back gutter incorrectly. He caused additional harm to our house due to his install with no intention of fixing or a refund.

Work was not completed as laid out in contract or what was described via text message. The deck that he was to install was completed to some degree, however it still has some additional fastening to be done as well as additional screen doors that were to be installed per our conversation and via the contract. Additional edging on the home was to be installed and completed, but was not. I have tried to work with them and be upstanding and understanding regarding the no show status for over a month plus. The project started on 8/1/2022 and as of prior conversations still is not complete. The company is now threating to *** for unpaid invoices and damages to a company sign. States he will put a contractor lien against our house if we don't pay him additional funds, which we do not owe. his business sign was returned to him at the ***************************** which I also filed a complaint so it would be on record just incase he tried to act. I do have the contract and text messages.
