Sorry to hear someone had such a problem with a hatchet. I have had an extensive experience with Mike. All I can say is Mike is a Class Act a man of his word, stood by his quote even though his suppliers increased his cost of their products. He had invoiced me prior to their price increase and made them honor their original price qoutes to him as it was their problem for the delay not his or mine.Review from Ryan P.

Never buy an axe or hatchet from this company. They do not know how to or just don't care enough to properly evaluate axe head alignment before shipping. Unfortunately I got a little over zealous when it arrived and used without first checking so Mike refused to do a return or exchange. Guess he wanted to pawn it off on someone with lower standards. Actually he did say he would do a return and then called me back an hour later to say that he changed his mind. What an absolute crook. Walmart axe would be better aligned than this piece of crap at 1/3 the price. At least I get the satisfaction of fixing another man's mistakes so that's something.

Please keep in mind, you attempted a return of a functional, used product 6 weeks after purchase, well outside the criteria detailed in our Terms and Conditions acknowledged during checkout followed by a failed fraud chargeback. We understand the quality of a wooden handled tool is subjective, however, the hatchet you purchased met the quality control standards of the manufacturer. Your return would have been accepted if the product was unused and returned within the 30 days allotted. Customer satisfaction is our primary goal, but unfortunately we have to draw the line somewhere. I am personally sorry this purchase was a such negative experience for you.Customer Response

I sent an email about the defective hatchet to Northern Woodsmen less than 30 days after purchase which is within the return period. **** chose to ignore this email for 2 weeks and finally I called him to discuss it. As far as the hatchet being used I really don't see why this would matter. If it is a defective product he shouldn't be trying to resell it.
