Our organization is in the process of renovations with our main building and have commissioned Access Elevator to install equipment to new key areas of our main building. Our department is one of a few here working with Access to get equipment installed. Throughout this process, the assigned Project Manager has been very unhelpful and unprofessional to our department. To say that this person calling themselves a Project Manager at Access is childish and insecure with themselves is an understatement as they find that not contacting our staff directly, other than through Email (and then reply to messages always wanting to get the last word in, much like an insecure child would handle the same situation), then accuse us of some impropriety because we didn't lead them around by the hand and do their job for them, is the reasoning behind why we cite their behavior as unprofessional. Another reason for this is the Project Manager individual calling one of our key partners and consultants and their information they provided, relative to the project, as unimportant, and not necessary (again, responses from Access were only through Email as apparently they find that using a phone not a part of Access' business model anymore), is also another reason for why for us the faith in this company backing their equipment after the installation is through, troubling to say the least. We would give Zero Stars with our experiences, but unfortunately that is not possible with this forum. One word of advice to Access Elevator for the future; Send some of your personnel back to school to learn proper customer service etiquette and how to treat all facets of your clientele fairly and equitably.

In July of 2023, I purchased a stair lift from Access Elevator, ******, **. The Stairlift was used and we were told that there would be a 6 month warranty but not to worry because they follow up on problems. Come the 7th month of possession, things started going wrong. The latest service call was on Friday, February 2, ****, at which time I was told the circuits board in the chair and other switches were all deteriorated and need to be replaced. I was contacted by *****************************, Administrative coordinator and informed it would be approximately $1,500 to fix. I asked what kind of warranty is on the circuit board and was told maybe 30 days but their supervisor of this sort of thing was not in the office. She would check it out.********, stated the chair cover was ripped and I replied yes, it was hardly used and deteriorated in 6 months. ******** replied, yes, they've had previous complaints about them.I realize this was purchased used but cant help but feel that this chair was defective and not inspected prior to installation. My stepson spoke with original salesman, *************************, regarding the porch problems months ago and was told concerns would be attended to. Nothing since.******** has Not returned my call regarding any warranty on the service.. *********** call was February 2, ****. It is now Febrary 14, ****. I cant afford to pay $1,500 every 30 days I cant leave the house to take care of medical conditions. Access Elevator needs to replace this chair and solidify the stairs as both are obviously defective.

We purchased a WHILL 7 power chair from ACCESS last March. Recently we had a repair issue. Veronica and her team couldn’t have been nicer. It was handled promptly and professionally. Everyone was anxious to please. We highly recommend ACCESS for whatever your mobility needs might be. If your need is a power chair we highly recommend the WHILL 7. We love it and an added benefit is that it folds up out of the way into a standard closet when not in use. We love it!!!

The team at Access Elevator Inc. were true professionals from start to finish. I recommend them highly. Susie answered all of the questions ( and there were many) regarding production, delivery, and installation. Christian and Kevin whom installed the chair lift were outstanding. They were prompt, professional, and polite. Thanks again.

This company appears to be scamming the elderly and handicapped. My Aunt purchased outdoor lift. Quit working after a month. Tech came out, took pics of internal mechanics Sep. and showed chewed wires and mouse mansion (their words). Tech not sure how to fix and would get back to her. Never did! No phone calls returned after repeated messages left with the company over 3 weeks. I called and was told the company didn't know how to address a mouse problem because of the feces. After the lift went unfixed and unusable her nephew took on the feat of trying to fix it. Once he opened the unit there were NO chewed wires and NO mouse mansion. He reset the GFI and now the lift works again. She spent unnecessary money hiring an exterminator that wasn't even needed. Just this week she received a bill for $430 for photos in Sep. and replacing a "stuck" contactor Oct. 12. The lift wasn't working until Oct. 16 when her nephew reset the GFI. If there were chewed wires how come Access didn't fix any and replaced a stuck contactor? Asking Access to submit copy of photos that were taken in Sep. and compare to what we uncovered and verify if they are scamming to bill for unnecessary maintenance.

There are no dishonest actions on our part that were performed. The equipment was made operational and an offer to not charge one of the 2 visits was made by us and rejected by the customer. We deem that rejection unfair for service rendered in part.

Purchased an outdoor used lift over 4 weeks ago. Due to unforeseen problem with mice nesting in it they rendered it unusable. To correct the problem I hired a pest control company and mice no longer an issue. However, the lift company will do nothing to fix it. Have called several times to get a service date but they state, "They are not certain how to address fixing it." They do not tell me if an electrician is needed or perhaps new parts. Nothing. They tell me nothing and never call me back. Seeking help to get his much needed lift fixed.

Lift was made operational despite claim to the contrary. We offered no charge for initial visit, but customer rejected offer and wants no charge on second visit too. We deem that customer counteroffer not fair for services rendered in part.

I prefer to write positive. Can't this time. Rather, I must warn potential customers how disreputable this company can be. First I had a sales rep named Brian who kept changing quotes on me. He even put one in writing twice, only to change the price when I agreed to order it. I thought that was reason enough to have a chat with his boss, John, who's also the owner. But when I went into the store to pick up the sling I'd purchased from Brian, I ask John the owner for the price of another sling we needed for rehab. He quoted me $350. Brian even called me the next day and confirmed the quote, though he added that that was a good price, so he recommended I take it if I wanted that sling. Well, I did, and I told him to order it. A few days later, he calls back to say it'll be $700 rather than the $350 his boss originally quoted and he had confirmed. Wow, these guys truly a mess; either they are so unorganized they can't keep track of their pricing or they are constantly in the business of giving quotes they never intend to honor. I'm not sure which is worse. I had even considered ordering a transport van from them. Boy, am I over that idea! One last thing; after writing this review, I invited John to comment or address my concerns. Did I ever hear back from him? Not a word. By the way, the BBB only allows shorter reviews. If you want to see the full review, check it out on Google.

***** inadvertently quoted at our cost and was subsequently corrected. No order was placed based on the original price quoted so there was no financial impact to the customer. The mistake was and oversight that was apologized for when correcting the price to the customer.
