A new gas valve was put on my brand new water heater 06/14/2021. I called Ziegler plumbing on 02/19/2022 because we had no hot water. Received a call on 02/21/22 advising me it was the gas valve there had been a recall. **** stated the part would be under warranty but I will have to pay for labor. I agreed. A Ziegler Technician arrive at my home on 02/21/22 "they took apart the water heater and cleaned the sparker and started the water heater". I had to call Them back 1 hour later because again we had No hot water. Technician arrived at my house on 02/23/22. Looked at the water heater and advised he needs to drive back to ******** to get a ******* valve. He returns 30 minutes later and proceeds to replace the gas valve. I than received two seperate billing statements. First **** was for 1 1/2 hours. The technician was in my house for 20 mins. I disputed that **** on 3 voice messages left to **** (owner) he called me back 3 days later and advised I also need to pay for miles. I asked him why if he knew the gas valve was bad and had been recalled why did he not send the part with the first tech. (he knew the part number because he installed the new water heater in 2021) He stated he needed to make sure that was the issue. I had to call back within an hour after the first tech left my house because the sparker went out again and than I get charged for another service call and mileage which was not disclosed to me on the first phone call.So I got charged for the 1st visit for 1 1/2 hours plus (mileage) $173.61 and than they came back again with out the part and charged me 2 hours and 8 minutes $289.35 (with interest and mileage) I completely think this was not handled unethically and Ziegler plumbing was just making excusess to charge me more money. Also the fact that it was NOT disclosed to me I would be charged for mileage is not right and I have two billing statements that I am being charged interest on and I feel the billing is Not correct and NOT fair.Business response

We went into ******* to fix a water heater that was not staying lit. My employee spent 1 1/2 hours with travel to do this job. We charge by the hour. Also just so everyone knows when we installed this water heater Conya didn't pay its for over ******************************************************************************* to talk about it. I found this rude and if she would have called me (she has my cell phone number) I can work with customers but to cross off the interest after 90 days is RUDE. I will not be bullied into giving out free credit and after that reducing my ****. I talked to my employee about this and he said 1 1/2 hours is the correct time this took.Customer response
