Problems with the curbing cracking and poor repairs made over the five year warranty. Sent a guy to fix it again last year before the warranty ran out told him I wanted the owner to look at it called him multiple times since September never called back or showed up.Customer response

************* was completed in 2017. He called us the following season in ***************************** the curbing. We live in ** so I include in our estimate sheets that cracking may possibly occur due to movement in the ground or from the concrete shrinking once the water evaporates from the mixture. We happily returned and repaired the cracks in the curbing as he was given a 5 year warranty and I stand by our workmanship. Most of the cracks were hairline so despite the challenge of filling such small spaces we repaired and sealed them to the best of our ability. Upon completion, **** was satisfied with the outcome.
In 2019 **** contacted me again upset that the cracks reappeared but I explained that the reason the cracks reappeared is due to ground movement in the same areas. He argued that was not the issue and blamed our installation.Once again, we fixed the curbing and went over maintenance instructions to ensure he protected the curbing. We honored our warranty every year touching up his curbing and each time we returned we would see he had done zero maintenance after being instructed to do so. ** weather can do a number on curbing so resealing it is essential for protecting it to avoid cracks and other issues.
***** wife contacted us last season to repair the cracks for the fifth and final year of our warranty. Upon arrival **** greeted us and asked us to leave and demanded we remove and replace the curbing free of charge.Despite explaining the possible reasons for the reoccurring cracking and reiterating how many times we explained how to maintain the curbing he did not see how ground movement could be the culprit behind the issues. I have been in this profession for over 20 years and stand by my companies craftsmanship so my rebuttal to the free work was a no.
I am a reasonable man and take pride in every job we do so after going above and beyond for 5 years with **** this slander is beyond disheartening.**** has given us a very unfair 1 star ****** review and now a public complaint with the BBB over something that we have no control over. Causing unwarranted stress, shying future customers away and all the while making zero attempt to protect his investments like his curbing driveway and stamped patio. I am doing my best to keep this professional as I believe we have done everything in my power to honor the warranty and address his complaints. I have included pictures regarding his curbing and the cracks/condition of his driveway. He did zero maintenance, never took realistic ground issues into account, and took no initiative to take care of his curbing despite years of us telling him to do so. Clearly from the pictures that negligence trickled onto other areas of his property.Customer response

Every time it was fixed witch was at the end of every year they sprayed sealer on it and the following spring I would find more cracks again, so I did not seal it because I didnt know if the sealer would interfere with the repair And just by spraying sealer on it will not stop it from cracking so that is nonsense. He also was not told to leave the last time they were here. I said, I didnt want it fixed
That I thought it should be Replaced and ***** said that he could not authorize that ***** Would have to look it However, he never showed up here to discuss it with me

Not sure if my response was sent so here are some pictures his repairs, one of the cracks that he claims is small and a picture of a patio that was poured the same time as his edging and doesn't have a crack in it. Also, my driveway is almost 30 years old and has no bearing on his work. He needs to fix the stuff that he did or replace it as it was still under warranty when I talk to him last year, if he had stopped out, maybe we could've got this settled but he never returns calls that either my wife or I made to him
