July 10th, 2023, Grade A Construction inspected our attic for an insulation installation that meets code and would help on saving energy, as well as bring down our air conditioning costs. We were told they would bring our R value up to an R50, more than meeting code and after installation we could apply for an energy rebate with WE Energies as well as receive a credit towards our annual taxes. I told them I was depending on the rebate to offset the cost of the insulation and installation. **** the estimator said he understood. We accepted their $1250 quote and went ahead with installation on July 19th, expecting said rebate as well as tax credit upon completion and the $1250 payment. I forwarded the paid bill to WE Energies Focus on Energy and was informed that Grade A Construction is not a part of their program and their work will not be accepted towards any credit. Had I been informed truthfully that they are not compliant with the program I would have selected a company that was. I immediately wrote to Grade A Construction with my complaint and informed them that I would be reporting their fraud to the BBB. I have yet to hear anything back from them.

Unfortunately I have nothing in writing. It was only verbally communicated to me by the estimator, ****.

We did bid to upgrade her attic insulation to R-50. We never said that we would be providing an energy rebate. **** told the customer that she would have to go through WE Energies for any energy rebates. There was no fraud what so ever. We never claimed to be involved with any programs through WE Energies. We performed the work that was agreed upon in a timely, professional manner at a competitive price. There will be no refund forthcoming.
