On March 8, 2023 we had a fire. March 9th I met 3 reps from Servpro at the property to review what the needed scope of work to remediate water/moisture in the home. Servpro used moisture sensing devices & determined moisture was present in the ceiling of all rooms on the first floor. They would need to cut the ceiling open approximately 12" wide the entire depth of the home to insert air hoses inside the joist cavity to circulate air to prevent mold as well as install multiple commercial dehumidifiers. An electrician to inspect the electrical system and stated that the electrician would need to remove all the circuits from the panel & leave only those for the drying ******************** This did not happen. The breakers were simply turned off. The ceilings were not cut open & air hoses not installed as was agreed. Three dehumidifiers dropped off & turned on in the main floor unit. On March 13 I emailed Servpro notifying them of the breach of our agreement. The response was that opening the ceilings as proposed was not needed although that is the scope of work proposed & agreed upon. They said they would be responsible for mold but they were confident it wouldn't happen. Servpro didn't complete the work as agreed & did not return for 48 days to pick up their equipment. Per the insurance company & other information obtained it is unnecessary to run dehumidifiers beyond 3-5 days. I addition to breaching the scope of work agreed to they also performed poor workmanship for a roof board up. 5 weeks after, the roofing material meant to seal the damaged roof had come loose during those 5 weeks & exposed the property to rain. I asked that they return to fix their error. Servpro billed me $706 to return. They listed materials not used & billed for work they did not do. This appeared to be insurance fraud. They stated not to worry about ************** would pay. We now have mold. Invoices need to be adjusted & mold remediated at Servpros cost for failing to perform.
