Hello,
The member came in to check out our ********* location last month. The price was a little high for her at first, so our manager made an exception to offer a lower price which the member accepted. With all of our memberships, we have a 14-day trial built in. She had called our manager asking about cancellation during that 14 day period - Our manager offered a freeze to look for another solution, however she denied and stated she wanted to cancel. Our manager was booked up for the rest of the day, and asked if a day next week would work better for her to come in and fill out the cancellation form. She said she would get back to him, but never reached back out.
We are going to waive her past due balance, and cancel out her account immediately to remedy this situation.

Hello,
This concern was in regards to our ********* ** Location. We have attached *********** agreements for both her 18-month membership and 12-month training for reference. ********* had gotten hurt back in March and we offered her a freeze which stops her account from being charged, for 4 payments from 3/28-6/3 while she was healing and possibly getting surgery. Before this freeze ended, she had called back to cancel. We discussed her options for a cancelation which are stated in her signed agreement as being responsible for the remaining balance on both her membership and training accounts. We gave her the option for her membership specifically to pay a discounted rate of $250 instead of the remainder of her balance which is $728.45. As a secondary option we also offered to extend her freeze at no charge for 2 more payments to help figure out her finances. She decided to extend the freeze with us until 7/1. ********* has not reached back out to us regarding this matter since the extended freeze was put into place. Management from this club have tried to reach out after this concern came in and have left messages for her to contact us. As a company we have been trying to find a solution with ********* but ********* states that she does not have funds to pay her agreement and that is why she made a claim.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
After Anytime Fitness reached out and left a message, I did call them back within business hours and had to leave a voicemail. Anytime fitness did give me two options when I first reached out to them and I turned down the first option because I do not have the funds to pay for it and thats why I accepted the second option hoping to figure something out in the extended time they gave me. After looking into my finances, I determined with the help with a financial advisor, I do not have the funds to keep paying for either membership and the solution anytime fitness gave me was only for gym membership not both, in which lead me to file with BBB because we already went over the only two solutions Anytime Fitness would offer me. I want to be able to find a solution for both memberships not just one and if we were able to find a solution, I wouldnt be able to pay in full.
Regards,

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I will not be able to pay the $250 in full, is there a way to spilt it up into payments? I am barely making it paycheck to paycheck so I dont have a lot of extra funds to use. For the training, that will have to be discussed about.
Regards,
