We bought a used GMC Acadia from Auto King on January 24th, 2024. The owner talked to us for over an hour and came off trustworthy and knowledgable, but it was all lies. He told us the power steering pump was replaced, repeatedly reminded us that they had not had time to work out the bubbles so it would whine for a while. Also told us the timing chain was just replaced. We had owned it two weeks and the wheel vibrated and whined louder than it had been and the power steering pump fluid was leaking. We contacted Auto King consistently for over a week and talked with the owner, ****, mechanic and a female, all of which told us they would have to get back to us and putting it off on whatever guy wasn't there at the time. Eventually we were told by the mechanic that it was the water pump they replaced and "good luck. "We had my wife, and 3 children in the store with us - 2 of which are adults and can verify that he said the power steering pump repeatedly. We have the car in a local shop and the steering rack needs to be replaced and is going to cost us $1500. We called them again and were told we would get a call back this morning but we knew that wouldn't happen and Lo and Behold.. no call. The owner himself told us over the phone they would remedy the situation. They had no plans to do so, and they probably didn't replace the timing chain either. Avoid this place like the plague. So very grateful God's got us and will work it out for our good.

****, **** and the mechanic at Auto King in **************** have put my family in danger for the way they operate their business. They sold my girlfriend a car with tires that my personal mechanical would not drive until he changed them himself. Too dangerous They sold a vehicle with a part that was duct taped together. A PCV valve that did not pass emission testing. Their mechanic could not properly change brakes or calipers. He did not grease calipers pins which could have wrecked the new braking system in her vehicle. Which again, safety hazard for our children. I understand selling as is, but to lie on the inspection sheet? To a family especially, despicable. Shame on this man, *************************. Who also claims he is a veteran of the us army. Lies, lies, lies. He put my children in ***** way for a quick buck. This excerpt is taken from the homepage of his website. We help drivers in ********** and surrounding areas get solid, reliable, and clean vehicles, no matter what your credit situation is. If you have bad credit, good credit, or even no credit, WE CAN HELP!Not even close to solid and reliable. This mans business needs to be shut down immediately

We purchased our GMC terrain on 4/20/23. Hi there, I had broken down at Kwik trip about a day ago and I had to have it towed home to find out that I had taken the engine apart and to find out that it has a bad camshaft sensor and metal in the oil and I had replaced the spark plugs myself because they where so bad to the point no good but the rest of the car needs a lot of work done a new camshaft sensor and a new tie rod and a new timing chain and more then like a new engine because I had found tons of metal shavings in the engine and the and a new alignment done and a new belt and I had been told by **** the guy I had bought the car from at auto king that they made sure everything was all checked and everything was good to go but I caught him in a bunch of lies and does not want to fix my vehicle at all.We called **** at Auto King on 7/25/23. He first told us he couldn't help us because it had been over 3 months when we confronted him that has been 5 days over 3 months then he quickly changed what he was saying that he wasn't in charge and he had to bring this to the owner and he would get back to us.

      ******,

When I had mentioned yesterday that it had been over 3 months since you purchased the vehicle, I was not saying that if you had contacted me on day 89, we would have covered it. What I was saying was that you purchased a 10 year old vehicle AS-IS, no warranty, and then proceeded to drive it 200 miles a day to go and from work, and have put approximately ***** miles on the vehicle and then called 3 months later to get a repair far too late.

You also told me it had been having issues for a month, but continued to drive it until it finally broke down yesterday. As a diesel mechanic (which you told me you are, repeatedly) you should know that driving a vehicle after it starts to show signs of a problem, especially a problem like power loss is just asking for trouble. It may have been possible to save the motor at that point, however, every additional mile has the potential to cause more damage. To be clear, calling at the 2 month point would also have been past the "warranty" period, because you purchased the vehicle without one.

Regarding the tie rod, I agreed with you that they dont just suddenly fail. However, they do cross a line where they become worn out,and worthy of replacement. Its entirely possible that the tie rod end does need replacement now, but it did not when you purchased the vehicle.  You asking "If the tie rod is bad (while inspecting the vehicle), would you replace it" and my answer of  "yes, we would have" does not mean that it was bad at the time you purchased your vehicle. The car ran well when you purchased it, and we had no reason to suspect it needed spark plugs soon, or any of the issues you are currently experiencing. You test drove the vehicle and had no complaints at that time.

I understand your frustration, and Im sorry this happened to you shortly after purchasing the vehicle, but we will not be covering any repairs for your vehicle. I had mentioned speaking with the owner regarding a possible goodwill repair, despite the miles and time since you bought the vehicle. However, after your repeated accusations and threats of a lawsuit, and demands for an instant promise to fix, all while deriding our mechanics, we will not be performing any work on this vehicle.

Etcetera but when you apply you realize that they go by fico score like any other dealership, when because of their advertising you apply having bad credit.

Purchased a vehicle in Jan 2022. Took it back 7 times for repair to resolve carbon monoxide issues inside the vehicle. Engine light repeatedly coming on. They did replacement on the issue. 2 weeks later car would not stay running while driving. Would shut down along with chugging prior. Took it to a gmc dealer for a manufacturer issue. I had them do a diagnostic test on it. They found many issues. Timing system needs to be replaced, oil leaks on manifold. Several other issues. The cost to even be able to drive it is $2500.00. We asked the dealership owner about this and never ever heard back from him. He communicated only with the office manager ****. Said he would do nothing to help us out.

On January 22nd, 2022 I reached out to ***** the owner, about purchasing a Tahoe he had on his lot. We had a very long conversation about coming to look at it and all his mechanic can do. He assured me that all the vehicles on his lot are very well inspected and he is "Not of of those to sell junk" On January 24th, ************************************************* **********, **, and looked at a Tahoe, Terrain and Acadia. That day I gave him a deposit to purchase the Acadia. After giving the deposit I had asked for the vehicle to be detailed because it had dirt and crumbs from the previous owner. **** assured me it would be detailed. The next day, January 25th, 2022 I went back with the remaining money to purchase the vehicle. Again they assured me nothing was majorly wrong with the vehicle and that it was detailed. I get the keys and get in it, it's not detailed. I then start driving the vehicle on the highway at 70 mph and make it 25 miles down the road when I hear a horrendous noise and my car is not shifting correctly. I contact my mechanic husband and he drives it and tells me I need a new transmission. The following day January 26th, 2022 I start my car to go to work and "Service all wheel drive" comes on. We made an appointment to get this issue fixed. My husband has contacted them every day since then and **** always has an excuse as to why they can't help us. **** is always out of office or forgets to call back.

On August 28, 2021, I purchased a vehicle from Auto King. The owner, *************************, was my sales person. He gave me an inspection report on the vehicle dated August 13, 2021. **** made the statement the vehicle is in great shape, no issues, and will last us years. The inspection report had no mention of issues and listed all parts as safe and legal. On October 23, 2021, I took the vehicle in to have the brakes looked at because they were making noise. Upon the mechanic getting the vehicle on the lift to inspect the brakes, all the issues were discovered. The rear end frame and sub frame are rusted out and broken. The rear axle bounces up and down nearly a foot and shouldn't move at all. The mechanic said the issues would have existed on the date Auto King claims to have done an inspection. I have made several attempts to contact Auto King. Spoke with **** and he said to send photos if I have any. Photos were sent. ****, after receiving the photos said he wasn't a mechanic and I need to speak with ****, the owner. I managed to get one short conversation with ****. **** instantly denied selling the vehicle, denied knowing me, and said the carlot I purchased from is a bunch of crooks. I explained who I was and he knew what vehicle I was talking about and said to speak to **** and that **** would take care of it. I told ****, **** already said I needed to talk to him, ****. **** then asked for my phone number so he could review the photos and video of the issues. Both **** and **** are no longer answering the phone or returning calls. I have made four attempts outside of the three times I managed to speak with someone. The vehicle was fraudulently misrepresented as being in great shape and issues that will last us years, or no inspection was done. The car lasted less then a thousand miles and sixty days.
