I live out of state, own a lake house and want some renovations done. I scheduled a meeting with Ms. Fix It (Krystal S******) for 22 Dec 21 at 1000 am, waited till 1015, texted to see if she was having a hard time finding the place. She replied she was in the hospital with a relative for four days. She said she would a date for the following week, nothing. I gave her the benefit of the doubt based on her statement of “sick family.” I went back to my home and my mom ended up having the meeting with her in Jan 22. They did a walk thru, a price was set and an agreement was made. She got snippy with my mom when she asked about her license and the sub license (apparently she didn’t measure anything – I just found out). The weekend I signed the contract she sent potential products to use and I made decisions. According to the contract she was scheduled to start Monday, 14 Mar 22. I texted and left a voice mail on key location – no response. I texted again after the date went by – no response. Ms. Fix It no longer has a Facebook page and there is no business website (not sure there ever was one). It has now been a week and we’ve received no indicator she is going to start or do any work. But maybe that is a blessing in disguise especially after I read about the shoddy workmanship she did in other residents. Did I mentioned I paid half the money in a down payment for supplies and I’m sure labor? Right now she is looking at breach of contract and a felony based on the dollar amount alone. I started looking around trying to find something on the web and found the BBB site with six complaints starting in Oct 21 and three along in Mar 22. I’m getting a lawyer and filing against her. I know for a fact she’s had two small claims filed against her in Mar 22. This is leaning more and more towards a scam and one that has occurred for quite a while. She needs to be stopped.
