For three indoor soccer seasons in a row, my adult indoor soccer league were happy customers at TOCA Madison which is in Fitchbugh Wisconsin. Each season we paid our entry fee and played games which started between 6:30 and 9:30. The games are one hour. We had a happy team. Our team had successfully played three or four seasons together. A team of 10-12 people. And the games were late at night. We had early games at 6:30, 7:30. There were later games at 8:30, 9:30 and even one game at 10:30. The TOCA league managers typically managed the fields well, and only 1 or 2 10:30 games happened per season. The season is typically 10 games. This year after we had paid our league entry as a team of 1300 dollars, we found that TOCA Madison had greatly changed their product. All of the 6:30 games were gone. Almost all of the 7:30 games were gone. Almost all of the 8:30 games were gone. Most of the games were at 9:30 at night. And 1030, and midnight. No one wants to play soccer at midnight. No one. Here is our schedule: 1 game at 7:30 - 8:30 pm 1 game at 8:30 -9:30 pm 4 games at 9:30 - 10:30 pm 3 games at 10:30 -11:30 pm 1 game at 11:30pm-12:30 am Our whole team could not make most of these games. We have people on our team with jobs. With children. We do have to work the next day. We informed TOCA that their crazy schedule imposed an undue burden on our team. We informed them we could not field a full team on the late games. TOCA did help to find an alternate team to fill our spot in the schedule. However, even after the new team agreed to play, our team did not receive its money back. Instead TOCA gave us 1300 credit. Our team does not understand why TOCA feels they are entitled to keep 1300 dollars when we did not play a single game, another team filled our slot and TOCA completely changed their product and schedule. TOCA clearly got their money. Our team deserves its money back.
