Called Kelbachs for repair of ice maker and gaskets on our refrigerator. Appointment scheduled for 8/18. 8/18 *** came out and looked at refrigerator and said he needed to order a new ice maker and gaskets. 9/1 follow up appointment to replace gaskets and ice machine. Paid$661.30 (diagnostic fee $69.95, replace ice maker $239.95, 2 gasket replacement $319.90 and $31.50 tax). 9/1. Ice maker never made ice. 9/2 *** came back out to check ice maker and said it was defective and he would order a new one. Appointment was scheduled for 9/14 between 345 and 5 to replace the the ice maker. At 3:54 on 9/14 the appointment to replace ice machine was cancelled by a text. The text stated “I need to cancel and refund the ice maker repair. I thought about it all day and it’s just not advantageous or logical to guess on the repair. I would suggest calling Maytag. Sorry for the inconvenience however the one thing I learned over the years is you need to know when to throw in the towel. If you need us on the future for other repairs please don’t hesitate to call”. On 9/25 a text was sent to check on the refund. The person answering the phone said that they would remind ***. 10/8 an email was sent through the website to check on status of the refund - NO RESPONSE. 10/21 text to check on status of refund- NO RESPONSE. I have all text and email documentation if you need it.
