On December 30th of 2021, I went to a new hairstylist who had advertized on FB on Marketplace. Upon arrival, she had booked two appointments at one time, so I had to wait ***** minutes. I had scheduled it for 11:00 specifically because I had to work. I told her I wanted it dyed to my dark ***** color. She is Mexican and perhaps there was a language barrier. She then showed me a photo of short hair that was highlighted. She said it would give me caramel undertones. My hair turned out orange. There was no dyeing, just highlighting that was done. I messaged her the next day and told her I was not happy. She said she would dye it to my desired medium ***** color. Then she proceeded to tell me that her daughter came down with Covid 19. As a merchant, she was not wearing a mask. She has many health problems and I can understand that, but she was not wearing a mask and I work with the elderly. She then BLOCKED me on ********* I had to call into work on that day, losing $60. I had to buy a Covid at-home test for $10. I had paid her $70. I then had to go to a Beauty Supply Store and get $31 in beauty supplies for my hair to try and help the damaged ends and to recolor it myself. Approximately 3 days later, I had to pay $30 to get it cut. I am out $201. My main concerns are that she BLOCKED me on ******** when it could have easily been resolved. My second concern was that she was not wearing a mask, and had a long history of health issues.
