Thanks **** for the feedback. I am saddened to hear that you are so upset by the mail piece. The mail piece is simply a marketing tool used to try to generate a conversation with interested parties in our offering, similar to how you may get solicitations to open a credit card or subscribe to dish network. Our team received your voicemail and sent the request to be removed from our mailing list to our 3rd party mail house. They have confirmed they have removed you, however, they do batch mail in to several preplanned mailings and therefore you may receive one or two more, but simply throw them in the recycling if you do get them. I assure you no on one our team is looking to harass anyone and we are simply a small, locally owned, family operated business who has over 350 five star reviews between the BBB, ********* and ******* We aren't a great fit for a lot of people but the ones who we are a match for, we provide an exceptional experience. Again, sorry the mail piece caused you to be upset. That is not our attempt and we have removed you from future mailings.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.  If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

they should not solicitate people via mass mailings.

      Regards,

An "Unsolicited" check was sent to me as an offer to purchase my home. Fox Cities Home Buyers has been calling numerous times over the past few months and only once that I know of I asked them not to contact me any more. I remember at least two other letters were sent to me about interest in purchasing my home that I just threw out. Can't tell you for sure that they were from the same company though. The check that was sent is only about 60% of the value of my home in the amount of $190,000.13 The letter gives the phone number ************ and states that "Your attention is urgently required! We've made multiple attempts to get in touch with you, and it's required that we speak with you about an ALL CASH OFFER for your property listed above. The check is signed by ************************* and further on in the letter is states that "Our stremlined process ensures that you just have to deposit your check after closing. I am not interested at all in selling my property but am very worried that this could be some sort of scam to seize control of it. I don't want to respond to this letter, especially by phone with concerns of them getting a recording of me acknowledging that I am the owner of the house. The desired result I am after is to have them stop contacting me and to ensure that if this is some sort of scam to report it and to not let them continue to do business like this, especially because it has been totally unsolicited by me.

Hi ******. Thanks for reaching out to us through the BBB. As you can see by our A+ rating with the BBB, we are a legitimated company and very reputable. We are also actively involved in bettering our community by donating a percentage of our revenue to local non profits/families and through our teams volunteer efforts. We are in no way attempting to or would ever scam anyone. In order for us to be able to own a property, we need to get a signed deed. All of our transactions take place through a 3rd party title company who ensures the transaction is done legally and everything is filed properly. In any sale of real estate, you need to have a willing seller and there needs to be a signed deed. The check is a marketing piece only that a third party vendor has been sending out. It is designed to generate a conversation and if someone is not interested in selling, no sweat. We are happy to remove them from our future marketing campaigns. I will ensure that you are removed from future marketing, however, your name and address *** have still been on a recent mail campaign that the third party vendor sent out. If you receive another mailer from us, feel free to just toss it in the recycling like you would a mailer about ************************* or any other unsolicited mail you receive.
