In March of 2022, we had Axis roofing fix an issue on our roof costing roughly $1,500. Individuals from their businesses charged us an additional $2,500 to fix the interior. They did not make it clear to us at all that they were doing this on the side, so we assumed that Axis was completing both parts. In March of 2023, we had the exact same issue in the exact same spot that **** has claimed to fix. I originally sent an email to Axis and never received a response. I then tried calling Axis 5 times over a period of a month. I left messages all 5 times. I got a hold of someone once who claimed that someone be come out to check it out. I did not hear back for two weeks which resulted in me having to call again. Finally, in early April, **** sent someone out to look at the roof. At this point, the issue was much larger than it would have been if they had sent someone earlier. The person they sent out spent less than 5 minutes on our roof and claimed that it was nothing to do with their installation. He told my husband that if we did find out it was their fault that they could come and fix it. After contacting four different contractors call of the contractors agreed that the issue was with how Axis had done the ****. The contractor we will be using said, "It looks like they were in a hurry to get done and did a terrible job."Because we had to wait to long to get a response from Axis and find a new contractor, we now have $5,000 in damage resulting from the roof being improperly installed. We do not wish to use access again as everyone we talked said they installed things incorrectly. What we are hoping for is that Axis will at least reimburse us the $1,500 for the job that caused this issue.Business response

Thank you for reaching out and giving us another opportunity to address your concerns. Attached are pictures of our contract as well as completed work. We were hired to perform a repair on a small defined section of the roof area. Specifically the "overhang" roughly 14 feet by 6 feet. As you can tell by the pictures, we did a much larger repair scope and tracked a leak to our Customer's bathroom exhaust vent at no extra cost and proactively replaced the Broan exhaust vent and related roofing area.
While removing the shingle area within the scope of our contract, we were able to see a water line of leakage that was coming from the direction of the bathroom vent. Axis removed additional shingles up to and around the bathroom vent where the leak tracking appeared to be originating from. Axis also replaced the bathroom Broan exhaust vent with new in case the vent was the cause of the leakage. This extra work was all done at no extra charge for our Customer.
As there is no roof attic at this residence, and Axis was not contracted to identify the cause of our Customer's leak source through destructive inspection to ceiling and/or roof deck, or water testing, Axis went over and above our contract scope to help our Customer.
Axis does not know who was hired to do interior work. Axis does not do interior work repair, and, we do not offer interior repair referrals. Axis specializes in Roofing, Siding, Windows, Decks, and Tub/Shower Replacement.
Thank you,

Axis remodeling re-shingled my ******************************** August 2020 at a cost of $9500.00. They installed the wrong size sky lights, which they corrected. Then I had a leak in the ceiling, which took them awhile to get around to fixing. I now have two more new leaks which I reported to them on May 14th, 2022. It's been six weeks and I haven't received replies to my emails. They're ignoring me.Business response

Roofing agreement was signed by myself and the company October 14, 2021, the roof was installed by November 23, 2021; They were paid the full amount $17,270 by check which they received and cashed on December 16, 2021. The business committed under contract to provide a 22 square standing seam metal over roof. I discovered I did not receive what I paid for, I received a metal roof with exposed fasteners and a standing seam metal roof has hidden fasteners. I called and sent an email to the business they have not tried to resolve the issue. They claim what they installed is a standing seam metal roofBusiness response

We want to apologize for any misunderstanding regarding roofing styles and types etc. Standing seam metal roofing is a generic term that refers to vertical panels with raised ribs (standing seams). Pricing was presented for the two styles of standing seam roofs that we offer due to this customer wanting solar panels in the future. The most expensive option that we currently offer is a standing seam hidden fastener option that requires the current roofing system (asphalt shingles) to be torn off, new high temperature ice and water, synthetic underlayment, then the metal to be installed direct to deck. Our customer opted for the substantially less expensive standing steam metal roof option which is exposed fastener as compared to hidden fastener. This option is our most popular as it saves a substantial amount of money because the metal can be installed over the existing roof without tearing off her asphalt shingles using furring strips to separate the asphalt from the metal. This saves on labor, materials, and disposal.
Our customer was extremely happy with her install before her project had started, during the installation, and after completion. We did wait many weeks to a month for final payment because she contracted a solar company to install solar panels who were supposed to pay for her roof. After waiting weeks, for her benefit, we told her we would need to be paid as the job was complete and she happily paid the full amount in cash rather than using the financing secured for her benefit.
Our contract specifically states that if final payment is not made in full within 15 days of completion, any and all warranties shall become null and void. We continue to happily stand behind the warranty on her standing seam metal roof.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of thefirst of all, nothing has been resolved by the company.
I did not agree to a metal roof with exposed fasteners, I asked for and signed a contract stating I was getting a standing seam metal roof, as this was recommended by most solar panel companies, due to no maintenance with standing seam, and the reason is because they have hidden fasteners, therefore no maintenance is required. I plan to add solar panels hopefully one day this year, to my roof. I was very clear about what I wanted, and again, my contract specifically states standing seam metal.
Axis Did tell me it will be more expensive to take the old roof off, and less expensive to keep the old roof on. So that is what I opted for, understanding that I would still receive a standing seam metal roof over the top of my existing roof.
Axis claims there are two types of standing seam, supposedly one with exposed fasteners and the other with hidden fasteners. Not true! As you can see from the enclosures I sent, the true definition of standing seam. Various roofing companies and metal companies all have the same definition and yet axis miraculously has their own definition!I am also still waiting for the warranty of this roof, in writing, which I have requested several times. Given what I now know about this very young misleading business, I would not have hired them

Widows were ordered and paid for in July of 2021 by my sister, who is now deceased, and it is now October 29th and they are still not here.We have been given the run around by this company for the last 5 weeks. They continue to say they have them and they will be delivered in a few days. 5 weeks later they are still not here. They won't answer the phone and I feel like my sister gave her money to a fraudulent company and that we've been scammed.Business response
